Christmas Eve

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house…we were scurrying around as fast as a mouse!

For we spent our day in historic Savannah…
…strolling River street.

…riding the ferry across the river, much to the little’s delight.
…taking in every detail of the gingerbread village at the Westin.

…ogling the absolutely stunning tree in the lobby, bursting with french tulips, peacock feathers and glittered leaves.

…running off some steam at the river front.

…lunching on fingers and spuds at Spanky’s and shopping Savannah must-shop Paris Market (sadly we were plum stuffed and had no room for a Frozen French Hot Chocolate.)

On returning home, we…

…had a water balloon fight (’cause it’s seventy glorious degrees out!)

…ran and ran until we couldn’t run any more…we ran on in the street…and we ran on the dock.

…dressed in our Christmas jammies.

…sprinkled magic reindeer food in the lawn.

…prepared the requisite snack for the jolly old elf.

…and snuggled the littles in their beds till sweet dreams danced in their heads.

And now we’re chatting and wrapping and baking and Nutcracker and football watching and preparing for tomorrow.  It’s the most magical night of the year!

Merry Christmas Eve, y’all!
xoxo
