Meeska Mouska Mickey Meal

Boy do I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see the PCP’s precious face when he unpacked this lunch at school yesterday!

I positively adore special lunches, making memories and surprises so this was a perfect combination of the three!  You see, we were surprising the littles with tickets to Disney on Ice that very night and made the big announcement over this lunch!!

After trying many other products, I send the PCP’s lunches in an Easy Lunchboxes container almost every day.  This bento style lunch consisted of Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets (Costco) with catsup for dipping, white cheddar cheese, watermelon, cherry tomatoes and a chocolate dipped mini Krispy Kreme donut.  I used my mini Mickey  Mouse cookie cutter to cut the cheese (Did you just giggle?  Because I definitely did.) and watermelon, and I gently inserted black cardstock ears into the donut.   The water bottle was purchased from the Disney Store.

The Magical Message from Mickey Mouse note cards are available for purchase (finished product and download options) in my etsy store.

And while I didn’t get to see John’s face, the baby had his lunch at home and was beyond thrilled with the surprise (or was it the chocolate donut?!)!!!

  1. How fun! What a great surprise!

Okay, so I have a question that's been burning in my mind for some time. When you pack things like chicken nuggets in a lunchbox, are they hot? Cold? What do you do???

    1. I cook them the night before and put it all together. It sits in the fridge all night and his lunch is at 10:30 so they are cold. My kids eat anything so it's not been an issue :-). I do use a thermos for hot soups but everything else goes cold.

  2. You continue to amaze me with your creativity and the memories! Your kids are going to have the best childhood and hopefully carry that over to their kids. I know you will! :)

  3. You should try PlanetBox metal bento box lunch boxes. My son has used one all year – so much easier than all the little plastic items, and it is all one piece. (There are two sauce containers you can use with it.)
