We spent our last afternoon at Disney celebrating Mother’s birthday at the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at the Grand Floridian’s 1900 Park Fare restaurant! It was such a fun treat to meet new characters… Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger were all there!! At the end of our yummy meal, we surprised Mother with the Cinderella Slipper dessert!!! It was yummy and so special!! This buffet was definitely one of my favorites (with Tusker House being another fave)! The offerings were quite good and I particularly loved their signature Strawberry Soup and banana’s foster french toast. And, if you’re wondering, you can order the Cinderella Slipper dessert (and all kinds of custom cakes) by calling the Disney Cake Line at (407) 827-2253. It was a magical trip, full of memories that will last a lifetime. My only regret is that we didn’t recreate this picture of Mother and her girls 32 years later… We’re off to John’s last basketball game (Whit finished Thursday) this morning and I’m going to try my hand at making ribs for the first time!! After all, tomorrow is MAN DAY!! xoxo See all things DISNEY here!

How'd the ribs turn out?
Ribs was the 4th "man food" item I learned how to make (right after steak, pork chops, and to die for mashed potoatoes). And honestly, once I learned that I could make them in the pressure cooker in practically no time flat (seriously – 45 minutes from opening the package to plopping them on the table literally falling off the bones) and very little active work time (5 minutes maybe?? – washing, cutting, saucing and laying out on a pan!) HELLO RIBS.
It seriously takes me longer to make the BBQ sauce than it does "making the ribs."
Serve them with some microwaved baked potatoes (bonus for sea salt, garlic'd fingerling or baby reds) and a salad if you insist on real vegetables and call it a night.
It's one of the few dinners I can actually whip up on a school night while actively helping the kids with their homework at the same time! And even with 2 whole racks and just the 4 of us (2-6 years olds) we NEVER, EVER, have leftovers.
They were GREAT! I am so intrigued by YOUR ribs though!! Yum! What kind of pressure cooker do you have? We didn't have anything left either!!
Recently found your blog as I was researching the Disney HHI resort. Your family is so darling! This post brought back great memories when I used to work at this breakfast and was good friends with the girl in blue :) Can't wait to take littles of my own one day to share the magic like you do with yours! xo
