Star Wars Weekend + Feel the Force Package

Our next full day was once again full of Star Wars!!!!

We were at the park bright and early to check in for the Feel the Force Premium Package, which included reserved parade seating and a snack, reserved seats for a celebrity talk show, and a fireworks dessert party.

We checked in around 9:30 at Echo Lake, and soon made our way into the premium area.

Snacks included all you can enjoy ice cream treats, popcorn and soft drinks / waters. Mickey bar for breakfast? Don’t mind if I do!

The littles staked claim to front row seats as soon as we walked in. Unfortunately, this is still necessary even with the package. The adults next to us were sitting the whole morning to keep their seats and then stood up as soon as the show started. WOMP WOMP. So glad that our littles had kept their places at the rope all morning!

The Legends of the Force: Celebrity Star Wars Motorcade kicked off with Jedi Mickey and friends at 11AM.

But the parade really focused on the “real” Star Wars legends!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll be the first to admit that I had NO clue who most of these peeps were. But Honey grinned from ear to ear the whole time so I gathered it was pretty impressive.

Celebrities included Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano)…

… Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett)… (Honey’s fave)

… and Ray Park (Darth Maul)…

… and the amazing voice of SO many characters, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, James Arnold Taylor!!!

The stage show was also so much fun to watch and had all of our favorite galactic heroes (and villains).

After a quick lunch, we headed over to the Celebrity Talk Show we chose as part of our package… Star Wars Rebels: The Ultimate Guide. The littles in tow are all fans of the series on Disney XD so this was an obvious, and quite entertaining, choice!

After a couple of fast pass rides on Tower of Terror (Honey and the baby switched to Great Movie Ride) and Rockin Rollercoaster (they did Disney Jr.), we headed back to Wilderness Lodge to lounge at the pool for a few hours and get off our feet in the hottest part of the day.

After dinner at the resort, we were on our way back to Hollywood Studios for the Symphony in the Stars fireworks dessert party!!
The offerings were similar to what we had at Hollywood & Vine the night before, and there were fun specialty cocktails as well as soft drinks and water available.

This one LOVED making Coke Floats with Mickey ice cream bars. He might be on to something…

The DJ was SO much fun and we ALL had a blast dancing and singing the night away.

After the dance party, James Arnold Taylor and many galactic creatures took the stage for another entertaining show.

I thought it strange that count them… FOUR cast members took the best seats in the house (front center stage). Right up on the rope blocking the view of many kids and paying guests. Hmmmmm…..

Alas, it didn’t damper our fun because we were to their left. :-)

I had heard great things about Symphony in the Stars. But WOW!!!!! You can’t really do them justice until you experience them in person. This was an epic night!!!!! Truly a symphony in the stars!!! I think Honey had to wipe a tear from his eye.

And so, we wrapped up our very first Star Wars Weekend experience with this amazing sight. It was such a fun two days and we look forward to coming again another year. I cannot wait to see how Star Wars unfolds under the care of Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xoxo

  1. What a wonderful weekend for you! Your pictures are beautiful. Nobody does it quite like Disney! Our whole family are BIG fans and we visit as often as we can. One of the best decisions we have made was DVC. Our youngest daughter and her family are leaving next week for 10 days and will be staying at Port Orleans. They spent their honeymoon at Wilderness Lodge. We enjoy staying there too. Each resort is unique and all are fabulous. I, too, am looking forward to seeing the movie when it comes out.

  2. Confession: I'm a Star Wars nerd, so I LOVE all of this. I really want to go do Star Wars Weekend when Andrew gets older and can really get into it like your boys. The Empire Strikes Back was the first movie I ever saw in a movie theater and to this day, I love it. I love them all. My dad took me because I was interested, but he never liked them, my husband is indifferent, but I could watch it for days. I LOVE that Andrew is interested in it too… I've started to indoctrinate him at the ripe age of 3! ha! That being said, I love how you embraced it along with your boys. The Star Wars thing was one of the things I got excited about being a boy mom, and now that the new movie is coming out, I am even more excited.

BTW, if you can ever take the time out to watch the movies, (the old ones) there is a love story buried in there and you may enjoy it a little (plus the music is really awesome)

So jealous you got to go!!! This is on my bucket list for sure!
