Epcot Food & Wine Festival 2015

We hit Epcot on opening day of the 2015 Food & Wine Festival.  Since we had been in to the park for rides and such multiple times already, the food kiosks were our focus.

It was sweltering hot – the hottest day of our trip – and insanely crowded.  I will say that it wasn’t the most enjoyable experience.

When it came down to it, I had three favorite dishes that were all scrumptious!  We worked hard sweating and waiting to get these in our bellies!  First was the Teriyaki Chicken Roll in Japan…

Next was the Warm Chocolate Pudding in Ireland…

And last was the Lettuce Wrap in South Korea…

A new and fun for the littles’ addition to Food & Wine this year is Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak.  It costs $8 and you get a map and set of food stickers. As you make your way around the world showcase, you look for Remy in each country to see which ingredient he is holding for the ratatouille.

When you finish, you can redeem your map for your choice of a limited edition pin.

Mine are pin collectors, so they loved this!  Also note, you can actually go ahead and pick out and redeem your pin when you purchase the map to save some time from having to go back.  You don’t actually have to finish the hunt to get it :-)

I wish I could go back to the festival again this year but there is no time and my pass expired this week.  I’m holding out for Flower & Garden in 2016!!!

Have a magical day!!
xoxo

  1. The FaWF looks amazing. I haven’t been to Epcot in years, but if we go again I’d definitely do it during the Festival. :-)

  2. We were there that day also and I was so disappointed at how crowded it was. We’re from Georgia also and I think most of the state was there on school break. It didn’t help that it was day six of our trip and after walking 10 miles a day according to my fitbit my feet hurt so bad. We had saved all of our snack credits from free dining and didn’t even get to use them all. Oh well what we did have was good.

  4. I love those hide and seeks! We spent one day at California Adventure just before Easter and finding the eggs was the only thing to keep our four year old motivated and moving (but we learned our lesson…not so long in the park and definitely getting a double stroller for WDW in the spring)

  5. We went to F&W on Friday, October 2nd. It was the most crowded park in our trip too. We also ran back the morning after that so my friend could get her pass stamped to get free AP wine glass and it was insane at park opening. I believe part of it was because it being a weekend and many of the locals were there. It was my first f&w experience though, and I LOVED it! I was with adults only and we would split u6o, all go get a dish and meet back up to try just a bite of everyone else’s dish. It was great doing it that way because I got to sample so many different things.

  6. Flower and Garden is my absolute favorite of the Festivals and comes in at a close second to overall events at WDW( mickeys very merry can’t be beat !) I have found that Food and Wine is very popular with the locals and is always super crowded on the weekend! I have to admit it is really more enjoyable as an adults only :( but I hate leaving my dd! I can’t remember if you have been to Disney during sprin break, but I have been twice and you couldn’t pay me to do that again! Lol

  7. My husband and I have been to Food & Wine twice and had a great time. It was pretty crowded both times though. We’ve never been to Flower & Garden. We’ve actually never been to Disney in months January-May. We need to remedy that pronto! Our oldest starts school next fall so I think our Disney travel will become more complicated.
