With Epcot literally being in the Yacht Club back yard, we found ourselves here nearly every day of our visit.
The character spot line was much shorter than the Disney Visa line, so we just popped in here and met Mickey, Goofy and Minnie!
We also happened on Cindy and Prince taking a stroll towards the International Gateway one afternoon!
We made a daily ritual of two things… 1. Coffee with character. Which the littles thought was hysterical.
2. Visiting Club Cool. Where we ALL “had” to try Beverly every time.
We had SO much fun exploring all sorts of new-to-us things in Epcot. For instance, we did it all in Innoventions and the littles fell in love with Habit Heroes. We did it 3 times by the end of our trip.
We also visited tried and true faves like Spaceship Earth, Test Track, Soarin, Nemo, Turtle Talk, The Land (Honey’s personal fave) and Figment.
I’m sure I’m late to the game, but i just discovered the kale salad in Sunshine Seasons. Um YUM! It’s almost identical to the one I fell in love with at Food & Wine last year. (Or was it Flower & Garden?)
It was so nice to take our time in Epcot, for a change, and appreciate how lovely it really is.
Like Future World, we also had plenty of time to explore the World Showcase! We had various lunches and snacks in Japan and France.
France was our second home. If I ever had to pick one food to eat for the rest of my life it would be the chocolate macaroon ice cream sammie.
We also discovered our new hands down family favorite character meal – dinner at Garden Grill!!! Let me list the ways we loved it… the characters came by time and again and again with very good, fun interactions; the food is served family style, was all you can eat, and was GOOD (I am still dreaming about the rolls); they serve beer and wine; the restaurant rotates through the scenes of The Land; everything and everyone comes to YOU so you just sit back, relax and enjoy the “ride”. To be closest to the action, request a booth on the lower level. Let’s see if you can tell how much one little person in my fam ADORES Chip & Dale…
When we realized on our last night that we still hadn’t seen Illuminations, we walked over and were standing on the bridge between France and Great Britain fifteen minutes later!
I foresee lots more of Epcot in our future… which is so exciting!!!

Love all your “Mickey” themed outfits!!!!
What a fabulous recap of a very special time in all of your lives. I’m so happy to learn about the Yacht Club for my trip to Epcot. The photos of you with Tinkerbell take the cake! Priceless. :-)
You should check out the Disney free printable on eighteen 25 website, if you haven’t already.
The Minnie dress is so cute! I had no idea Garden Grill had a character meal. I love your Disney recaps and after reading your Disney Hilton Head Island posts, we booked our trip. It will be our kids first Disney experience!
we LOVED Garden Grill as well– especially since Pluto came back around and played with our son for an extra 5-10 minutes… I also LOVED that salad. It was so good!!! It was a perfect way to end our vacation…. when we were waiting for our table, they noticed A was playing with a hot wheel and the hostess had the restaurant manager bring out a Buzz hot wheel car for him… it was that little magic that made it extra special. And I loved how Chip & Dale interacted with him too. It was a great meal!!! I think from now on, we are going to always make it a point to go to GG because that is my favorite now. It used to be Ohana… this one wins, hands down!!!
Also, I think I made the same face as Whit when I drank the Beverly in Club Cool. I had it before at World of Coke, but I had forgotten how disgusting it is. To me, it tastes like someone took a baby aspirin and let it soak in seltzer water all day.
Also, where were you that you took the picture of Spaceship Earth where you look like you are on a second floor? Love that perspective!
Yes, we have Beverly here at world of coke too. We all hate it but love tasting it. HAHA. I think we will try to do more GG as well. It was just good food and great characters! We were on the monorail when I took that pic :-)
Aha! The Monorail… that certainly explains the perspective. I’m going to make a mental note for our next trip!
Love all the pics! Do you mind sharing where you found the pixelated mickey shirt?
