St. Patrick’s Day in the Shop

I’m doing a little presentation on Ireland for John’s class in a couple of weeks and have no intention of going empty handed.  I made darling little St. Patrick’s Day themed tags for the occasion and, since everywhere seems to be flooded with St. Patrick’s Day party wares these days, I left it up to John to pick which thing I bring.

Did he choose pots of gold with chocolate coins (obviously intended for Hanukkah)?

Were the mini top hats the thing that won him over?

Or was it the mustache straw that had him at hello?

So, what do you think???  Take a guess…

… if you chose the mustache straws, you would be correct.  The sillier the better, right?!  I’m not sure that this has much to do with our Irish heritage, but he insists his classmates will love them.  I have do doubt that that they will indeed.

I gathered most of these items over the last few years at various stores.  I have linked similar items:

chocolate coins (dollar tree or amazon)  |  candy kettles (party city or amazon)
mini leprechaun hats (dollar tree or oriental trading)
leprechaun mustache straws (target or oriental trading)

Now, as you can see from the pics, CeeCee has already gotten her tags.  Sister is going to attach them to green silly straws.  I suggested this to John but the mustaches were too tempting.  There are really SO many different cute things these could be used for.  Even just chocolate chip cookies with green m&m’s!

I’ve got a few different designs in a few different colors in the Dixie Delights Shop.  They are listed in sets of 25, 50 and 100, as well as sheets of 10 stickers.  I’ll ship them out towards the end of the month in plenty of time for March 17.

And, now that Valentine’s Day has come and gone, I need to get my St. Patrick’s Day door decor up.  It’s one of my favorites!!

  1. Very cute!! I am going to be painting a shamrock for my front door soon. Our MOPs group is doing a painting night and we could choose from a cross, a bunny or a shamrock. I have a cross for my front door but I do not have any St Patrick’s decor and since Marvin is from Savannah, I need to remedy that!!
