Tidal Tassels {St. Patrick’s Day Style}

I’m popping in today to share the darling St. Patrick’s Day Style Tidal Tassel bracelets Mother has added to the Dixie Delights Shop.

I’ll pretty much be dressed in green for the next fifteen days and I’m already loving mine!  This old Lilly “green bean” print is one of my St. Patrick’s Day staples.

I’m all dressed up and off to school in a few to give a little presentation to John’s class on our Irish heritage.  I can lead meetings and presentations at work all day long without a second thought, but the idea of standing up in front of a bunch of fourth graders talking about Ireland is a bit daunting.  So…. here’s to hoping it goes better than the way I started my day.

And that would be by getting a cavity re-filled, followed by a trip to the DDS for a new drivers licence, capped off by an emissions test.  I know, y’all are all insanely jealous.  If only I had time to squeeze in a mammogram…  #thisis40

The SUPER part is that I went to the dentist before the DDS.  So I look completely awesome in my new drivers license photo given my numb mouth and the fact I had my cheek stretched out for the prior hour.  Cheers to the next 8 years of flashing that baby.

In other stellar news, I’ve been training Elsa not to lay on the sofa.  So I just looked up from writing this post to see her new spot…

… meanwhile her new doggy bed is empty.  HA!

So really y’all, at this rate I’ve mentally prepared myself for Ireland and my homemade Shephard’s Pie to go over like a lead brick.  Which I why I have some smooth Riverdance moves in my back pocket.  (Okay, so I actually have a you tube video but I didn’t tell John that.  I so wish y’all could have seen the look of horror on his face.)

Happy hump day, y’all!!!
xoxo

  1. I just had to say I totally thought you must have still been recovering from the dentist when you mentioned getting a license at the DDS (that’s what we call our dentists!) and we get licenses at the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles).

    Know what you mean about the class. I’ve given presentations in an auditorium with 400 people, and I stand up in front of rooms of full of people 4-5 hours a day most days, but I’ve never been as terrified as I was at my first Mother Reader Day in Kinder to have 20 sets of little eyes paying such rapt attention at my feet. I thought I’d conquered it by 1st grade only to be mortified when a 1st grader corrected my pronunciation of one of the names of the dinosaurs! :)

    Also had to LOL at the Riverdance comment. I can only imagine ‘the look.’ :)

    1. HAHA!!! Yes, that’s the thing with kids! Last time I got a license was at the DMV but now it’s the DDS. But I DO see your point there :-)

  2. You will do a terrific job and they will love you! I’m the complete opposite….I stand in front of fourth (and third and fifth) graders all day long, but presenting in front of adults absolutely terrifies me!!

    I was lucky enough to order my new license in the mail, and you best believed I checked the no changes box for weight ;).

  3. The thing about kids is they’re brutally honest! I’d much rather present to a roomful of adults any day!

    The St. Patrick’s bracelet is the perfect touch for this time of year. xo
