  1. I will start planning when the weather gets cooler in the fall. But I am always on the lookout and pick up things all year long. Love the tartan

  2. I actually start planning in December while packing Christmas away ? but really, the end of July when I start my search for the year’s Christmas ornaments.

Thanks for the fun giveaway! xo

  3. I subscribe and follow on Etsy….this is so timely as I wrapped four gifts yesterday. I don’t normally start quite this early, but I scored on Amazon Prime day! The tags are adorable!

  4. My Christmas planning begins in the summer the day my Southern Living Christmas book shows up in my mailbox. I look checking out all the new decorating ideas and recipes. I love your blog and l will be ordering some Christmas goodies from your Etsy shop! Sarah W

  5. Seeing as I have antler’s in my logo this would be adorable! I loved my Easter gingham tags and know I’ll be grabbing some for Christmas too. Merry Christmas in July!

  6. I start thinking about it in October, but don’t really do anything until the tree goes up on Thanksgiving night. (Just the tree and lights) That activity really shifts thinking about Christmas to real planning and doing!

  7. I start planning right before Thanksgiving! I always try earlier, but it never happens! December is full of birthdays in our family too, so I always try to keep it straight, but I’m usually behind!

  8. My Christmas planning begins as soon as Christmas is over, at least looking ahead to next year (travel plans, what we’ll be doing, etc) but I do usually wait til about July to actually start mapping things out (what the littles will be getting, what new decor to add, what parties to plan, etc). It was always a rule growing up that we were not allowed to start watching Christmas movies/listening to Christmas music until July because my Mom loved Christmas so much she would listen all year long if we let her ;) Sadly, I’m much the same way! Christmas is just so cheery!

  9. I am ready always! Before a do anything with a new blog I follow, I always look up Christmas and see how they decorate. Weird? I know. My daughter would love a new journal book. Thanks.

  10. I begin planning for Christmas once the weather gets cooler. I already am an email subscriber. Love the designs!!

  11. Subscribe and follow you on everything! Love your taste and adore the monogrammed antlers…what could be better for the holidays?! My holiday planning starts around this time every year…can’t wait to celebrate the season!

  12. Loved the Tartan tags I bought last year! I try to start buying gifts and preparing for the holidays in August/September. I am better some years that others! :)

  13. I subscribe by email to Dixie Delights, and it is a favorite of mine on Etsy! Would love to win this giveaway! Love the new design! xoxo

  14. Those antler cards are darling! I have been an email subscriber for awhile now. Guess I’m a late Christmas planner. I wait till it starts getting a little cool. Off to visit the Etsy shop. Thanks for the chance to win.

  15. I can not believe Christmas is only 6 months away! Thank you for the reminder. I am guessing I really should be thinking about it! ?

  16. I do not start planning for Christmas until the kids go back to school (mid-August). My brain seems to function much better during the few hours when both my little man and my pre-schooler are at school! ;-) But, truthfully, Christmas is always on my mind and is my most favorite time of the year!

  17. I get in the holiday spirit on September 1st! I really do- and I start looking for new ways to do my holiday decor:)

  18. Once the kids go back to school I quickly change gears and start planning for the holidays. I don’t put anything Christmas related out until after thanksgiving though because I want to enjoy each holiday fully.

  19. 2 of the 4 kiddos birthdays fall right before and right after the holidays so extra planning is required. I like my lists and keep a holiday to do and gift list all year so I can plan and organize if I have an idea or find a great gift on sale :)

  20. Etsy shop has been a favorite for years too! Love the collaboration with your friends and your mom! Lucky to have the same type of relationship with my mother too!

  21. I start Christmas planning when the stores start putting out their holiday things. Seems earlier each year!!

  22. Just liked your cute shop on Etsy. I usually start my Christmas shopping the first of November. I love your new antler tags!

  23. I LOVE Christmas and start everything right after we put the turkey in the fridge! It’s such a special time of year!

  24. Well I’m already on the lookout for Christmas pajamas and ornaments if that tells you anything. I’m also making my grandkids personalized sticker books and have most everything purchased to put together. An idea I got from an old post of yours from years ago and was just holding off till they were old enough. They are 6,7 and 8. Thanks for the idea and opportunity.

  25. Hi Amanda, Thanks for the fun giveaway. I am a long-time subscriber and receive your daily emails and follow you on Instagram.

I love your new antler design! I love all your designs, especially the tartan plaid set. I start planning for Christmas in October. I don’t really make anything like handmade gifts, but I update my Christmas card lists and gift lifts and get out holiday supplies in my craft room in preparation. I start listening to Christmas music in late October!

  26. ~ I’ve followed along via email for eons it seems. :)

~ Your Etsy shop has been favorited just as long!

~ I should be making gifts right now while hibernating from the intense heat. As soon as I see Christmas ornaments out, I start there! One of my favorite things ever and I don’t believe one can have too many.

Love the new designs and the Tartan plaid is awesome!

  27. I am thinking of Christmas all year long……just looking for the special something for someone.

  28. Email subscriber/ shop follower! :) I wish I could say I start actively thinking about Christmas this month or the next, but alas, as a first grade teacher, all I’m planning for right now is the beginning of the school year! However, I’ve been buying Christmas gifts throughout the year whenever I see anything that reminds me of a friend or family member, so I don’t feel pressed for time finding the right gifts last minute! If you have any tips on how you begin planning for the holidays, I’d love to read them!

  29. Of course I have your Etsy shop favorited! I am still deciding which colors of tassel bracelets I would like!

  30. I really start planning for the holidays (Christmas) in August once school starts, but if I see an idea sooner, I am on it! My 13yo son is already trying to figure out his Christmas list!

  31. I would have to say, truthfully, that I start planning for Christmas around mid-October. I may pick up gifts here and there throughout the year, but as far as new decor, I would love to be more on the ball with that part!

  32. I’m already an email subscriber and love your posts. I read them every morning at 5:40 with my first cuppa coffee.

  33. Your Etsy shop is a favorite and I love these new antler tags. They are a great addition to your other holiday tags.

  34. I am always thinking of gifts and ideas for Christmas and try to begin my planning in July (I usually have a nightmare some time in the summer that it is Christmas Eve and I haven’t done anything). I listened to one of my favorite Christmas songs last week …. “Driving Home for Christmas” by Chris Rea. When he says, “get my feet on holy ground,” I think of the years I wasn’t in South Carolina with my family and how blessed I am to now be here “with my feet on holy ground.”

  35. Hi Amanda! I have been following you on Etsy as a favorite for awhile and have purchased the Disney autograph books from you in the past!

  36. Hi Amanda! I start planning for the Christmas holiday around Labor Day. I make sure we have our savings and a list of traditions, crafts and festive decorations ready to start the holiday season right! We recently moved to Tennessee so now I will be shipping a lot of our gifts to our family back in Ohio. These tags would be a nice personal touch to the gifts.

  37. Typically I start planning for the holidays in October (gifts). I don’t have many to buy for at this point in my life, so that’s fairly simple. We decorate the house the weekend after Thanksgiving – one of the very best weekends of the year! We go get a tree, set it up, order a pizza, and decorate to Christmas music for hours. We end the night with a Christmas movie and a bottle of red wine. :)

  38. Holiday planning starts about 6 months out. I’m hosting Christmas Eve this year and need to get my plans in order.

  39. I usually start Christmas planning in September/October. I want to enjoy my summer without the stress of Christmas, but with my oldest having an Oct. birthday, my son Nov., my sister, SIL, husband and myself all Dec. birthdays I can’t wait to late to get plans underway. Though I did order my first Christmas gift of the year thanks to Nordstroms pre-season sale.

You have been a Etsy favorite and I have been on your mailing list for some time.

  40. I have been buying from your shop for a while. Somehow I forgot to “favorite” your shop. Glad this gave me an incentive to do so!

  41. I start planning in September!! I love the holidays and can’t wait for the most wonderful time of the year! I always receive your email newsletters- love them! Thanks, Amanda!

  42. I buy gifts year round because I try to personalize them, so when I see something meant for someone, I go for it. Sometimes I “lose” some early gifts and have to present them in February or March! LOL! But actual Christmas planning doesn’t happen in my world until after Thanksgiving.

  43. I usually start thinking about Christmas in October but sometimes I come up with big gift ideas for the kids long before then. But I’m usually always still shopping at the last minute. :)

  44. I get your email already and like your etsy shop so the only other thing is to tell when I start my holiday planning. Since I started my own business last year I started really late. I think it was about 2 weeks before Christmas! Eeek I really need those tags! haha

  45. I love the antler tags, and anything with antlers. I already subscribe to the email and I made your etsy shop a favorite!

  46. I used to start Christmas planning much earlier, but now I really just start after Thanksgiving. As a full time working mother, I finally had the ephinany that Christmas wasn’t ever meant to be the cause stress. It’s suppose to be a season of peace, not checking off lists and making appearances. So I’ve simplified. I’ve streamlined and outsourced decorating. I do most of my shopping online. I committ to fewer events. And I don’t miss the hustle one bit.

  47. I love the antler cards! Sadly, I don’t start planning for Christmas soon enough, which always makes for a frantic hectic stressful season. Clearly from reading the other posts above. I need to start earlier. I’m going to make it my goal to start planning on October!

  48. Love getting your blog and shopping at your store. Thank you for doing your giveaways. Your style is southern and amazing!

  49. I love to think Christmas all year! If I am planning something new…I begin collecting as I find the components I think I will need! I love everything Christmas!

  50. Your things are so adorable. I am a Southern Girl living in the Midwest and your site makes me feel like I am in touch with all things Southern.

  51. I already get your daily emails! Reading your daily post is one of my favorite morning rituals! I love everything you post- home decor, fashion, fun and sweet family time, family traditions/stories, sports, DYI, recipes, tender thoughts, book reviews, travel! I have shamelessly “borrowed” many of your ideas! Thank you!
