Sunday Supper {Best Burgers}

I know I keep bringing it up, but Honey has been grill-crazy ever since getting his new Big Green Egg!  We’ve perfected our burger game over the last couple of months and it’s high time I shared.

Best Burgers (makes 8)
2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup Duke’s mayo
1 pouch Lipton Onion Soup mix
8 buns with sesame seeds
tomatoes, thickly sliced
Palmetto Cheese pimento cheese
arugula

  • Gently mix the ground beef, mayo and soup mix.  Form into 8 patties.
  • Grill (we use big green egg)
  • Top with tomatoes, pimento cheese and arugula

They are SO thick and juicy and yummy.  My mouth is actually watering right now.  We don’t always feel like burgers on back to back nights, so we sometimes freeze four of the raw patties between pieces of parchment to thaw out for another night.

With school looming ahead of us, I’ve got to get back into the routine of cooking.  We spend a lot of summer nights eating boiled eggs, sliced tomatoes, pickles, hummus and such.  Ha!

Happy Sunday, y’all!  Mother is coming next week to watch the littles while I work and help me on a few projects in the master bedroom.  Can’t wait to share!

xoxo

PS. I’m still looking for the winner of my Coca-Cola ticket giveaway!!

  1. The burgers sound – and look – delicious! How are they after being frozen? Do they still hold together well?

    Our meals are definitely more relaxed in the summer, and we start classes (Mondays/Wednesdays) on the 8th. Almost time to start getting back into the swing of things. But we’ve got a lot of summer to squeeze in first! xo
