Going Back to Paper {Happy Everything Agenda}

It’s been eons since I had a paper agenda.  Eons!  I remember the day when I used to get giddy over cracking open a new agenda to fill it up with dates, outings and to-dos.  To throw it waaaaay back, I remember Mother and Daddy-O taking me on trips to the Franklin Covey store each year to reload my planner.  But ever since I got my first iPhone circa 2009, I’ve run my day strictly by the To Do app and a Dixie Delights notebook full of lists, notes and ideas.  Well, Coton Colors sent me one of their new 17-month Happy Everything Agendas to try and, I must admit, I’m smitten!

So, let’s discuss how cute this agenda is!!!  I mean, it lives up to its “Happy Everything” name, right?!

I love that you can see the entire month at a glance.  I’m using the darling stickers (sold separately) on these pages.  And, let’s face it, any day I get to use my scented glitter pens is a good day.

I love using washi tape to mark off vacations and work days (on the weekly view).  It makes it so easy to see at a glance and it’s pretty darn cute to boot.  I really had too much fun with this!

You can cover off on all the gory details of your week in the weekly spread.

I love that you can see the entire week at once, and that there is space to list out and, most importantly, check off your to-dos.

The back has a generous pocket for a little note pad and to store the stickers.

I think I’m *really* going to enjoy taking it back to paper.  I’ll be sure to update y’all on how it pans out.

It’s shaping up to be a super happy fall, y’all!  So many fun things to look forward to with sports, loads of birthday celebrations AND a glamping get-away.

  1. This planner is adorable! I’ve used a combination of both – I just my phone mainly because I can set an “reminder alarm” for a week out, and I need that! But if it’s not on paper (calendar + lists)… it doesn’t happen. I guess I need every possible way for keeping up with things, lol.

Enjoy your new planner! Nothing like adding fun things to the fresh, clean pages! xoxo

    1. I need every possible way too… I don’t think I’ll ever ditch the digital, but seeing everything at a glance on paper is SO nice again.

  2. I love my paper agendas. I’ve used them for years, and actually keep them when the year is done. I like to look back and see what I accomplished as the years passed. They also help me keep track of the kids’ milestones and important events. And I DO LOVE a new, clean calendar!!!

    1. I save my old notebooks for this very reason – I do occasionally look back in them for something specific. I’m sure I’ll keep this one around long after next year.

  3. I was digital since my first job issued me a palm pilot (makes me sound a lot older than I think I am)! BUT I have always used a big paper calendar for home and the last few years I have printed my google calendar to create a pretty paper planner and then added writing from there. While I like the convenience of having recurring dates digitally, there is just nothing like seeing it all laid out!!!

    1. Oh girl, I had a palm too. It was a lifesaver. I love just what you said so far with my agenda – seeing it all laid out. On my iphone I have to click and scroll on each day.

  4. I went back to paper this year my Erin Condren planner! Loving it so far! I feel so much more accomplished!! lol

    1. Haha… it does help to write things down and then see everything you did :-) That’s why I love lists so much.

    1. We will see how I do with it. It’s definitely a change of routine, but I DO love being able to see the whole week and month at a glance.

  5. I love paper planners. We use a blotter desk calendar on the kitchen wall in our family “command center/chore chart” area. But I also use my Google calendar. I color code everyone’s activities on both and use washi tape on the big calendar. I am slowly getting my husband to add his stuff to the paper calendar, but that is a work in process. I really like the stickers with this one you shared.
