I Can See Clearly Now the Rod is Gone

Y’all, I am SO excited about this little update in the master.  I’ve replaced the old silver curtain rods with these beauties from Ballard Designs!

I ordered them the minute they hit the catalog and they were already on backorder forever.  Sister ordered them for CeeCee’s big girl room early in the fall and is still waiting on the rings to come in.  In fact, Sister, bestie R and I used to have a running joke that every.single.item. in their catalog was always on backorder.  I guess we can take comfort in the fact that some things never change.  However, these ARE worth the wait.

When Honey installed the new rods he moved them up just under the crown molding.  Between that and the clear rod, it really improved the look of the ceiling height!  These were actually in my post back when I shared the new bedside chests – I’m surprised nobody noticed!

It’s like the girl has some sort of a homing beacon on my duvet.  I only make my bed for photos and sheet changes but it’s like the minute it I get it out she appears.  Hmmm…. I’m wondering if this would work when she’s tearing around in the yard and I have to catch her to be able to leave the house.

I *think* this is the last thing on the list in the master.  You can see my progress in these posts:

I probably won’t have a full reveal until the new year because I FINALLY, after many years of searching, found some “christmas” bedding for my room.  I’ll share that as soon as it arrives!!!!

  1. Miss Elsa looks totally blissed out in that picture, lol!

I adore the new rods – they are classic and classy. Can’t wait to see the Christmas bedding! xoxo

  2. I am currently looking for new rods for my bedroom so I was pleasantly surprised when today’s post was in rods and I adore yours. However, I have SW sea salt on my walls with everything else neutral. Think these would work with a color on walls?

  3. Fab-u-lous! I LOVE them and am mad I didn’t spot them earlier! ;-)
Your title for this post is hilarious and clever and this song is already stuck in my head for the day! I look forward to your Christmas bedding, which surely will be snowy and dreamy. You never fail to inspire and Elsa is one smart cookie!

  4. I am having one of those days where my house is a disaster and seeing your beautiful bedroom is just a divine intervention! Those rods are gorgeous, thank goodness they’re sold out! ;)

(but I did just buy some new sheets, amen!)

  5. I just did lucite rods (DIY from another blogger where I ordered rods then bought hardware from Restoration Hardware), and I am gaga over them. I wanted the Ballard ones, but they wouldn’t fit my windows. Yours look great! But what I really wrote to say is how happy I am that I’m not the only one who only makes my bed for photos and sheet changing.

  6. I love the rods! They are so beautiful. Now you need something on the wall over the cabinet. I am not sure what but think something needs to be up there. Can’t wait to see your Christmas bedding.

  7. Thank you for posting about these rods. I am in search for new rods and when I saw these pop up on Ballard’s email, they peaked my interest, but couldn’t envision them in my home. Thanks to you, I feel confidant they will look fab in my living room!

Also, thank you for mentioning that you only make your bed when you take photos or clean sheets day – makes me feel so much better about myself! I love a freshly made bed but let’s be honest, it is soooo difficult to do every day! :)

  8. Hi, love the curtain rods! I’m on Ballard’s website now. Did you purchase the large or small curtain rings?

  9. Hello there. Curious if you purchased the rings as well from Ballard Designs? I cannot find them on their site.
