A Decade of Seeing Santa

This year marked ten years of seeing Atlanta’s quintessential Santa at Phipps Plaza!  Ten years.  A decade.

They made their lists…

And checked them twice with jolly old St. Nick!

It’s so hard to believe these are my babies.

Afterwards we treated them to their fave Starbucks treats.

And then I tormented them with a few more pics.  HA!

I always love seeing the grown kids visiting with Santa.  I feel like I’ll be there in the wink of an eye.  These are the days.

  1. One of our favorite traditions! Your young men are so handsome.

It certainly does happen in the blink of an eye! xo

  2. So cute! So a question for you: how do you coordinate your want/need/do/read system with Santa? Do mom and dad cover those items, with Santa bringing additional ones? I plan to schedule a talk with the Big Guy on this front and am just curious how you work it. ; ) Santa and I have long since concluded that we need to streamline the gifting around here!

  3. It certainly does happen in a blink of an eye…so grab on and enjoy the ride.
The boys are looking so grown up. I have followed your blog for a few years and always
    enjoy your stories.

I also have two sons and love them to pieces. Both living out of state right now..just wait until they fall in love:) We had our first wedding this year and LOVE our daughter-in-law to pieces.
I could not have given his heart to someone more genuine, loving and amazing.

  4. Your boys are so cute! I have been following your blog for the last 2 years and your boys are growing up so fast. I have a 12 year old in 7th grade and his last Santa visit and photo was in 5th grade. I display all of his Santa photos every Christmas. I love looking at those photos! Thanks for sharing your photos.

  5. Amanda, your young men are very handsome and look so gentlemanly! One funny thing though, when I first reading their lists, I thought that next to John’s “Do” he wrote “dishes”. I thought, oh my gosh! What an amazing boy to do the dishes for his mom! After I read Whit’s Disney cruise, then I went back and saw John wrote “Disney”. Anyway, it made me chuckle. :)

  6. Your boys are so darn cute and I love their outfits. I can truly see your kids growing and changing in each picture you post. You never get to old to sit on Santa’s lap. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Your boys are so handsome! I love seeing everyone’s traditions and going to see Santa is definitely at the top of the holiday list! Unfortunately, my son is 13 and no longer wants to go see him. Last year he did oblige me and he went in his basketball warm-ups and took his ball with him. It made a darling picture! :)

  8. A visit to Phipps to see Santa is a family tradition. We followed our favorite Santa from Perimeter to Phipps and I have 25 years of pictures of my children with the same Santa. Yes, my children were the grown kids seeing Santa! How did I get them to do this through their college years? I told them a picture with Santa was the only gift I wanted for Christmas. Yes, these are the days.
P.S. We now visit Santa at Phipps with my 2 grand babies. Our 3rd visit next week. My heart is full!
