Halloween Musings

Hello, November.  It’s hard to believe we are done with Halloween and have moved on to a whole new month and holiday!  Before we do, I had to share some of my faves from the last 31 days…

The baby wrote this and I LOVED it!  I set it aside to put in an ikea frame for his room each October.

We had our fall festival at school.  The last one for this kid.  Time flies…  The baby never exited all of the jumping things so I didn’t get a single pic of him.

October was just a continuation of September weather.  I wore my Haunted Mansion leggings on the single chilly night this month.  Which also happened to be fall festival night.  (I bought my regular size and think they run a bit small.)

We hosted our neighbors for breakfast for dinner one night.  We do this often as a family but was a lot of fun to do as a dinner party.

This popped up on my facebook memories.  Awww…. 8 years ago October.  And I still had 2 months to go before baby Whit! HA!

The cousins came over for a spooky sleepover.  CeeCee and I made mummy hot dogs for dinner and then we roasted marshmallows on the porch for dessert.

Somebody forgot her jammies but was very happy to sleep in one of Cookie’s sleep shirts.  She also chose Cookie’s Simba pillow pet to use as her pillow.  Can you believe this smile?

Honey and I cheered on Tech to a great win at Homecoming!!  Go Jackets!!!

I threw these treats together for the teachers in no time flat.  A box of Halloween peeps, a small package of graham crackers and a Hershey bar were all it took!  The tags are in my shop.

I also binge watched scary movies this month.  Favorites were Hush and The Awakening.  If y’all have any other good ones on Netflix, let me know.  I need something to watch between now and Christmas movie time.  :-)

I’ll be taking down the Halloween today and am sad to see it go.  The silver lining is that means Christmas is about to happen REAL soon!!!!!!!!!!

I hope y’all had a wonderful Halloween.

  1. Love the idea of Breakfast for Dinner party! Seems a lot less stressful! Love your posts and get lots of inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I watched “The Skeleton Key” with Kate Hudson & Gena Rowlands (I love both) this week. It’s an oldie but goodie! I think it’s 15+ years old but it’s a great thriller set in Louisiana. The 2nd viewing wasn’t quite as good bc I remembered the ending. BUT I highly recommend if you’ve never seen it! It was free on Netflix or Amazon prime maybe -one of those two ;)

  3. Whit’s acrostic is absolutely precious! October is such a fantastic month for making memories! xo

  4. Your ‘watching scary movies’ comment made me laugh. I watched 3 seasons of the “A Haunting” series last night. Hard to believe 2016 is nearly over!

    1. YES! Amanda, I keep forgetting to tell you, but Stranger Things is my new favorite show. I just finished season 1 and am eagerly waiting for season 2. You would love it! You can use my Netflix login :) xoxo, Sister
