Easter Tablescape Tour {A Spring Dinner on the Porch}

While I won’t be hosting Easter this year, I was excited to join in on Slightly Coastal’s Easter Tablescape Tour today!  I love shopping the house – and yard – for items to pull together a beautiful table so I took advantage of the opportunity when hosting my neighbors for a Spring dinner on the porch last weekend.

We awoke to such a gorgeous day that I knew we had to dine alfresco.  Besides, the days of being able to pleasantly stay outside before the pollen really hits are numbered.  I had a light menu planned and a casual table fit the bill.

I love the wood on this table and, quite honestly, didn’t have a table cloth or runner that would match.  So, instead of buying something I really don’t need, I let the wood be the star here!  I think it turned out beautifully, was free, AND won’t require me to launder a table cloth :-)

I set the table simply with a canister and two tea cups overflowing with flowers.  Since I planted my spring pots that afternoon and had a few stray pansies with life left in them, I put them in this container for the centerpiece!  I usually do the reverse and use my annuals on my table for a dinner BEFORE I plant them, but this works too.  :-)  I already had the other flowers around the house in the foyer and den so I used the best looking blooms in those arrangements to make these.

The plates are Blue Willow, the salad plates are Spode, and the glasses are Ballard Designs. The napkins were from Crate and Barrel.  The candlesticks and canister are Spode Blue Italian.  I have had every thing on this table for 15 years, so I’m sorry to say that I don’t know if any of this stuff is still available.

I look forward to many more dinners on the porch this spring and summer!  I also wanted to share our menu and recipes HERE.

For more Easter table inspiration, I did a formal table with eggs, bunnies and bows last year >> Our Easter Table 2016

I hope that you enjoyed a peek at my spring table and do hope that you’ll hop on over to my sweet friends Nancy and Ron also sharing today!

Last but not least, if you’re joining me today from one of the other ladies in the series, welcome.  I’m delighted you’re here!  You can learn more about me and this little piece of the internet HERE.

Happy Spring, y’all!!

  1. I love your table! Right now is prime time for dining outside. For me, the pollen has already gone through but the heat will be soon to follow. I love all of the blue and white. Thanks so much for being a part of it. :)

  2. Your al fresco table is so bright and cheery – perfect for this delightful weather we’ve been having!

  3. Lovely…so much Spring/Easter tablescape inspiration!

    Amanda, could you please tell me where you bought your animal print rug under your outdoor table? I was thinking it was perhaps from Ballards? They currently have a rug similar to yours but it looks like a different material.

  4. Amanda, I’d let that gorgeous table be the star too. It’s a perfect backdrop for your beautiful dishes and details. Love the blue and white pieces. The oyster shell chandy is fabulous. Great style!

    Happy Easter!
