The Scalloped Beds

I know we all know that I’m working on an update in John’s room.  Well, when we took the beds apart to move them to the attic… you know the beds… the ones that SO many of y’all have asked me about over the years but I couldn’t give you info because I bought them when I had a toddler and no blog and had no memory left… well, I found this…

… the tag inside!  I have no clue if this will help anyone out there source the beds, but fingers crossed it will.  Also, is it weird that I want another one to store away in the attic?

This is because I think I will always have this lovely image from Anita at Cedar Hill Farmhouse seared in my brain.  3 little beds all lined up in a row.

If anyone does have success finding the bed, I’d love to know!

  1. I hadn’t realized you didn’t know the brand/name. Our youngest has the same bed (originally black, not painted white) in a full. It is part of the Stanley Young America collection. We purchased it from Rooms to Go Kids many years ago. There were A LOT of pieces to that collection. Both girls had several. I may even have the paperwork in our furniture file. I will look.

    1. No I never did!! I saw it in a show house and ordered it from the manufacturer. It was SO long ago! You know, before every minute detail was recorded on the internet :-)

  2. I just happened to have considered the same bed for my daughter longboard ago (she’s a little older than John). Stanley furniture has/had (not sure) a kids bedding division called Young America. If someone is searching try adding “Young America” to the word Stanley. I see it comes in various colors and can be found online.

    1. Opps! I did a little more research. Stanley no longer manufacturers Young America. They now call that part of their company “Stone & Leigh.” Stone & Leigh has a website with lots of pretty things but do not appear to sella scalloped bed.

  3. I believe Stanley Furniture has stopped
producing their Young America (children’s) line. My daughter has the dresser and armoire in that same collection in the white/ivory. They are beautiful pieces and yes I’m keeping them forever!

    1. My children had the crib and dressers…and when I went to transition the crib into a full sized bed they were discontinued :(. It is great furniture!

  4. To my knowledge, Young America line was discontinued a few years ago. Both of my kids have cribs/beds/etc. from the company. My father-in-law worked for the company, too. We have loved our pieces. I hate they discontinued the line. Hope you can find one!!
