Elfin Update

It was another treat filled week around our house.  Scout organized a play date, pulled out our Grinch movie with “real people”, planned Christmas with Uncle Chip, bought happy meals from McDonalds and, best of all, planned a Rudolph Sunday Fun Day!!

We met Auntie, Uncle and cousin Bird for a yummy lunch at YEAH! Burger where we enjoyed a yummy, kid friendly lunch of all-natural burgers, hand cut french fries, buttermilk onion rings and fried pickles.

After lunch we headed to the Center for Puppetry Arts for the (now sold out) Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer show.  It was by far the cutest show I’ve seen at the Center.

The show followed the classic story of the misfits and had loads of entertaining elements… humor, a scary monster, a sing-along, and best of all, that nose-so-bright!

After the show we proceeded to the craft rooms to make our very own pull-string Rudolph puppets.  They were simply darling and the boys have loved trotting them around the house!

I’m already looking forward to next year’s Christmas show!

Luckily Scout made the flight down to Mimi and Anpa’s house in Savannah without a hitch.  He even beat us here!  Can’t wait to see what that little elf has up his sleeve for the next three days.  Certainly a long winter’s nap will be in order after all of this work :-)
