Little Ladies

Bestie S and her mister T welcomed not one but TWO beautiful daughters into the lives just a few short weeks ago.

And, since S spent the latter half of her pregnancy confined to her bedroom lair, we were finally able to appropriately shower her with love and gifts while swooning over babies Allie and Izzie.

As is always the case with this great group of ladies, the food was scrumptiously copious.

In lieu of games, each guest made a birthday card for one of the twins, to be mailed on their special day for the next sixteen years!

Since the twins’ room was inspired by a sea glass wreath, we adapted a New England wedding tradition to invite guests to press their wishes into sea glass that will be used as nursery decor.

And the gift room was exploding.  I relish a veritable excuse to shop for anything pink and so I dutifully gifted the little dolls sterling silver baby bracelets engraved with their initials and the most scrumptious chiffon ruffled, bow embellished and jewel bedazzled diaper cover and head band sets I’ve ever laid eye on.  You simply must check out Ellura Sage’s etsy shop where tutus are plentiful and hair adornments are abounding.  (Recall how much I love my hair adornments.)  Warning: if you do not have girls or do not have girls to buy for do not click on that link until you are braced for the extreme jealousy issues that are bound to ensue.

S is one of those friends that seems like I’ve known for ages, when in reality it’s been just five short years.  In those years, we have not only shared in some of the deepest, most heart wrenching sorrow a woman can face, but we’ve also been fortunate enough to celebrate a handful of the best, most blessed days ever. My heart nearly burst with joy when I got the call that the girls were here.  I look forward to many, many years of watching them grow in two true little ladies.

Welcome to the world baby girls!
xoxo
