Savannah: Girls Day Out

Mother was a doll to mind the littles ALL DAY while Sister and I shopped, dined and primped!

Our day started at Christopher’s Salon where I had my hair highlighted and cut.  Christopher and JB run the two chair salon out of their home and Mother and Daddy-O have been raving about them for ages.  They were remarkably cheaper than my salon in Atlanta, I was extremely pleased with their work and they are just the nicest guys you’ll ever meet!

Afterwards, we hopped over to the Gryphon for a divine little lunch at the counter in the gorgeous turn of the century pharmacy turned SCAD-run eatery.  In fact, I had my bridesmaid luncheon here many moons ago!  We opted for a pot of their hot vanilla tea, tea sandwiches, cheese straws and cucumber salad.  All mouthwateringly scrumptious!!  Oh, and we adored how they brought our check tucked inside a vintage book.

And we rounded out or afternoon at Number Four Eleven.  I adore the euro sham monograms on this bed and might have them do a couple for the baby’s big boy room once that gets underway.  Sister found a couple of gorgeous wood frames.

  1. Looks like a great day :). I can't wait to come back with some girlfriends in October so I can actually shop around at places other than the candy store ;). And I love those books covered in Nautical charts :). May have to add OT to my list of projects when I get home.

  2. What a wonderful day! Love all the shops – even virtually! :)

And couldn't help but laugh at the part about scaring the littles into being quiet and going to sleep. It's apparently not bedtime around here until I have shusshed a couple of times and then made a trip upstairs to insist that it is bedtime. Now.
