Sister hosted a few fabulous sorority sisters for an afternoon of girl talk, eating and crafting this weekend and it couldn’t have been more fun! We were all asked to bring a black crow and Sister guided us in dolling them up with crepe paper ruffled collars, metal medallions and pom topped hats. After dressing our crows we sat down for a scrumptious snack of homemade butternut squash soup and beer bread. It was a lovely afternoon and my fancy crow feels right at home on an antique silver tray in my kitchen. Y’all check in tomorrow for pics of her gorgeous Halloween decor!! xoxo

Please talk "sister" into taking us on a tour of her beautiful home!!!
what a cute idea…is this your sister's house? if it is please post pics…it looks darling! oh, i see someone else wants to see it too!!
i have two crows and they would look adoreable like this!!! yall have the best ideas!!
Maybe Sister will chime in with a tutorial – here's what I know:
– put together three strips of crepe paper and sew with a wide straight stitch down the length of one edge. do not backstitch to lock the ends. then pull one of the threads to gather the crepe paper. we used an extra tacky glue (don't know the name) to glue them onto our crow's necks.
– cut scrapbook paper into cone shaped party hats and top with a pom pom
– use baking twine to tie on metal medallions
It was really fun and super easy since she did all the pre-work!!
What fun! Your sister's home looks beautiful, and so do the crows! :) Now…you need to share Sister's recipe for Butternut Squash Soup! :)
