Painting the Facade

I think the number one question I get from this blog is for the name of our exterior paint color.  Since the house was already painted when we bought it, I really had no idea… until we had it color matched to paint the exterior siding on the porch chimney last summer.

After a few admittedly half-hearted attempts at locating the paint can, I FINALLY uncovered it when we cleaned out the garage (a little) last weekend.  Here is the label for the gray color match:

That beings said, we are due for an exterior paint job real soon and I’m *thinking* (read: very tentatively considering) about going with the same colors from the porch.  We’ve lived with them for about six months and really, really love them!!

And besides, somehow changing the colors would make me feel like we’re really getting our money’s worth.

Happy weekend, y’all!

  1. I like the current colors….but think it would look amazing in the new colors. The house would be gorgeous in the cream. I don't think you would regret it for an instant

  2. TOTALLY. I couldn't pay all that money and not change it. I love your choices. Also, although it's pretty, you didn't choose the original color. Make your house even more "you"!

  3. I agree with you, if you're paying for the outside to be painted, I'd want to feel like a makeover took place. Go for it..I'm obsessed with your porch colors…similar colors I use in my home as well! xo

  4. I just want to put this out there – the paint color is classy! I’ve got no problem with the façade of your house, but if you’re planning to change the color for something similar to the color of the porch, I think it’s a good choice too. That would harmonize and unite the design features of the façade, which is always a good look to go for. So, what color have you decided on? Have you started painting?
