Switcheroo

Daddy-O procured a bundle of gorgeous white oyster plates at Mother’s insisting and she was a doll to share a few with Sister and me.  Seeing as I already have a few too many of our dinner plates hanging on the walls (by Honey’s standards), I figured it best to swap some out for the oysters rather than to add another half dozen plates to the walls.  While I was rushing into the powder room to tend to the baby’s bellows (I have to immediately respond in these instances because he’s been known to do crazy things like flush his undies straight down the toilet), it finally became crystal clear where they belonged… in that very bath room!  You know, because that’s the obvious place for one to keep their most prized dinnerware.

The oyster plates were the exact same size as the original Butler’s Pantry salad plates, so all I had to do was put them in the hangers and slap them on the wall!

It’s a subtle change, but I love it!

  1. Nancy – if it were up to me they would either be crooked or I'd have 100 holes in the wall. Honey gets out his measuring tape and level and somehow nails it the first time :-)
