Daddy-O procured a bundle of gorgeous white oyster plates at Mother’s insisting and she was a doll to share a few with Sister and me. Seeing as I already have a few too many of our dinner plates hanging on the walls (by Honey’s standards), I figured it best to swap some out for the oysters rather than to add another half dozen plates to the walls. While I was rushing into the powder room to tend to the baby’s bellows (I have to immediately respond in these instances because he’s been known to do crazy things like flush his undies straight down the toilet), it finally became crystal clear where they belonged… in that very bath room! You know, because that’s the obvious place for one to keep their most prized dinnerware.
The oyster plates were the exact same size as the original Butler’s Pantry salad plates, so all I had to do was put them in the hangers and slap them on the wall!
It’s a subtle change, but I love it!

Lovely plates, your room is so pretty!
I'm so jealous! I so want some oyster plates!!! I love yours and they look great with the pic!
What a cute idea! Never thought to put plates in the powder room!
Beautiful display!! I absolutely love your wallpaper!
They look great in the Oval Office! Is there a trick to hang the plates so even?

I love those plates! Beautiful :)
Nancy – if it were up to me they would either be crooked or I'd have 100 holes in the wall. Honey gets out his measuring tape and level and somehow nails it the first time :-)
Love the canvas and your new oyster plates. The wallpaper is fabulous too!
