Festooned

After spending a few months mesmerized by “the drapes that dreams are made of”, I’ve been busy fluffing up the rest of the room.  And while it’s not quite ready to share, I couldn’t let another day go by without showing y’all how I festooned the southern bird pillows.

Mother and I were sorting through the last few piles of things cleaned out of my master closet when it hit us what to do with the jeweled crowns saved from an old photo album and t-shirt…  to add them as the crowning glory to the living room pillows!

While we were at it, we added the same burlap rosettes to a new lumbar pillow – just like the ones on the larger guest room pillow shared almost a year ago (see the how to here.)

As you might have noticed, I’ve also had the chairs reupholstered in linen.  The arm chair is embellished with my custom monogram from Savannah’s Number Four Eleven (store / blog) – swoon!

I’ve just one more project to finish up the room but between yard work and spring break it could be the end of April before all is said and done!

  1. Can you tell me how you made your drapes? I have been wanting to make drapes for my rooms, and love yours and would love to know how you did them. You did a fantastic job!!

  2. Everything looks beautiful. When I saw your curtains, I thought you would re-upholster the chairs. I had Crown do a few chairs for me. I actually have some more chairs to bring there. I had to track down a couple more yards of fabric. I did that yesterday. I can wait to see the whole room reveal!

  3. Looks lovely as always. I was wondering how your chairs were going to fit into the equation with the new drapes….now I know:) Can't wait for the reveal.
