Savannah: Bowling + A Movie

The spring break fun kicked off today with a few lively games at the bowling alley!  The baby was good for plenty of laughs with his unique moves and constant antics, and the PCP spent most of the time fretting over the fact that his little brother, his mommy AND his Mimi were all beating him.  Bless his heart.

After bowling, there was time for a spin through Sonic for curb-side happy hour slushies.  While the littles sucked down their treats, Mother and I snacked on a box of divine macaroons picked up from Maison de Macaroons on our way into town.  They hand bake all of their macaroons right there in the shop each day.  The bourbon pecan and bananas foster were to.die.for.  We’re talking little bites of heaven.

We made it to the theater just in time to catch the start of The Croods.

When we got back to the island Daddy-O had a couple of our favorite Papa Murphy’s pizzas in the oven.  I sure wish we had one of those in Atlanta!

With that, I’ve got to run.  Honey wanted to have a “conference call” last night to discuss the state of the yard but I crashed with the PCP in bunk room and missed our appointment :-) I don’t think I can put this off another night…

  1. Oh, I love macarons and I'm always looking for new places to try them. I'll have to remember Maison de Macaron next time I am in Savannah.

Have you been to Papillote? It's a wonderful little French bistro on West Broughton street. Their macarons are divine, as are their sandwiches. Everything I've tried from there is delicious!

  2. a) Your decor, traditions, vacation life, everything = inspiring
    b) How are you so adorable after just having a baby?
    c) You make Georgia living seem like the most appealing place to live
    d) Thanks for a wonderful blog :)

  3. Karen, I have not been to Papillote but have now added it to my list :-) I challenged myself to a spring break full of FUN for the boys which means not too many good eats or shopping for me, LOL. But perhaps we can sneak in for a few minutes!! Thanks for the suggestion. A

  4. Heather, Thank you SO much. If it makes you feel any better, the baby is my niece not my daughter. Although I love her as if she's my own :-) I like to say that my sister and I share her!

  5. Maison de Macaron is the best. I recently discovered the bourbon pecan one's. They are now my favorite with the earl grey being a close second.

Your boys are adorable and so cute in their seersucker and madras shorts.

  6. OK, it does make me feel a bit better. Although, I never resent someone else looking fabulous! Your blog is truly something I look forward to reading daily and motivates me to step up my own game. ;)
