2013 Topps Baseball Stickers

If your littles are anything like mine, they looooove a good collection of just about anything.  I’m talking everything from trophies and Skylanders characters to rocks and paper airplanes.  Marry that with the all consuming love of the all American past time around these parts, and we’ve got a real winner!  I picked up these MLB Sticker Collection books at Target for $2 to start the frenzy…

And these little $0.99 sticker packs have been good for everything from spending allowance money to flat out bribes.  They ADORE them!  Since they actually stick in a book, there is also the added bonus of not have a gazillion piles of baseball cards floating around every orifice of the house.

Excuse the lazy iPhone picture, but the insides of the books look like this.  The bonus?  The baby can now look at a number such as 113 and knows it’s “one hundred thirteen”.  I dare you to say this isn’t educational.  Not to mention they both can look at any card (out of 315) for a half a second and know whether or not they already have it.  I suppose males are just born with some weird ability to memorize insignificant and minute sports stats (yet are unable to remember to change the light bulb burnt out in the kitchen for twelve days.)

We’ve been giving these as gifts to our little friends over the last couple of months, so we have a little network of people to trade our duplicates with.  That’s a big part of the fun!

They’ve poured through these things so many times over the last two months that they have both been taped back together multiple times.  I’ve seen the books and sticker packs at Target, WalMart and Learning Express.  Most recently, the books I saw at Target had a coupon adhered for $1 off – so that makes the book $1 too!

I couldn’t not share this cheap, summertime “entertainment”.  Go forth and collect baseball stickers, y’all.  (That’s one thing I never thought I’d say a mere eight years ago.)
xoxo

  1. I should buy some for my boys. You are right about the collecting. My younger son is very proud of his Skylanders collection…and yes boys seem to memorize all kinds of numbers. Just the other day, my son noticed a car that looked like ours but then he read the licence plate and said "oh but your number is…" I didn't even know what my number was!

  2. You know how much my little man loves his sticker book!! I have seen the stickers at Dollar Tree as well (along with Monster University sticker books/stickers)

  3. Yay! Getting those for the twins today. We are in rainy PCB, and were headed home today but decided PCB was just as exciting as rainy Atl:(. Were going to head to Chattanoga for the fireworks over the river , but it just seems a wash from TN on down. So sad! The baseball stickers will definitely brighten the day! Thx;)
