CeeCee’s Baptism

Today we celebrated the baptism of sweet little CeeCee, and Honey and I were incredibly grateful and immensely blessed to become her godparents.
Slide 1

Like Jay, John and Whit, she received the sacrament of baptism at the stunning Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  She was all smiles throughout her special day!

After the baptism, we celebrated the little angel over a divine lunch at Horseradish Grill.  Sister made the flower arrangements and had the delish cake made at Whole Foods.

As y’all in Atlanta can attest to, it was certainly a gorgeous Southern summer day for a celebration.  We love you, Caroline Causey, with all of our hearts and are blessed beyond belief to call you our goddaughter!

  1. Be still my heart! She is just too precious. Thank you for sharing this special event…all the way down to her cute, little foot! She looks so much like your W and "Sister" looks absolutely beautiful….your smile says it all. Perfection. Bless you all.

  2. What a beautiful celebration for a beautiful baby and family! She is definitely a loved baby by her godparents.
P.S. Whit's hair is growing in nicely:)

  3. Congratulations Dixie and your delightful family! We had our sweet Charlotte christened last Sunday… She was a saint until we got to lunch then she cried out of exhaustion and teething for the rest of the afternoon and night! We definitely need that beautifully grand bow as we are all ears right now ;) I know you love seeing how sweet your boys must be with their sweet cousin. Blessings and happiness to you and your family!

  4. What a beautiful family. We also baptized our first-born son at Holy Spirit. Gorgeous church. Going back to Atlanta for a girls weekend in September and Horseradish Grille is on our list (as well as Canoe)! My husband and I's favorite dessert is HG's Spice Cake with cinnamon ice cream. Yumm!

  5. We christened our little grandson 2 weeks ago. We also have a family christening outfit. The baby was to big for it. My kids wore it and so did his brother and sister. He is just a big boy and I was heartbroken. He looked really cute though.

Looks like your oldest will be preparing for first communion soon.

    Have a great week,
    Cathy

  6. I remembered this blog post as I panicked about the duties of godparents. My husband and I have never been asked before and now at our advanced ages it's our turn. The baby will be baptized in the Catholic Church. She is almost 15 months old. I trust your excellent taste far beyond that of any of my friends. Should I purchase a long gown for her or will she be completely miserable? I noticed that you and your sister were both wearing white. Is that a requirement? I have read everything I can find on the internet and for the life of me can't find answers to either of these concerns. I humbly ask the Queen of All Things Beautiful and Stylish for assistance please.
