Brother’s Room

You just may recall that I “kicked-off” John’s room update waaaay back in September.  And then you never heard hide nor hare of it again.  Well, it’s just been a rather slow process with little projects squeezed in here and there.  This is the original vision … lots of black, blue and fish at the PCP’s request.

And this is the updated bookcase.

And until Mother and Daddy-O came to town last weekend that was the extent of any real progress.  With their help, we got the drapes made and hung and Honey swapped out the white blinds for bamboo shades.  All of these pictures are TERRIBLE – I didn’t haul out the Nikon for these.

I found the Pottery Barn Bolton lantern on ebay along with the reading lights.  Honey got those up this past weekend as well.

I filled the wood shell with John’s eight seasons worth of game balls.

And, as those of y’all following along on instagram know, I got the gallery wall up.

The rest of the room looks like a hot mess.

When I have more time I’ll share all the sources!!  Between that and the bad pics, I’m being a pretty lazy blogger today :-)

Curious, exactly what do you use to put your "idea boards" together? Do you use Olioboard?

And thanks for the fantastic ideas I'm always getting from your blog!

  3. Looking good so far mama !! I just love your gallery wall. I saw it on instagram this weekend and told hubby "see this is what I want to do" and he was like "wow that does look good"
