THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED – congratulations Anita on the win. I can’t tell y’all how much I enjoyed reading about all of your Christmas
traditions. I think my very favorite was from all of you that move your Mary
and Joseph around the house in the days leading up to Christmas. So very
sweet.
After spending a month playing our Halloween Truth or Dare game, our thrifty and crafty little elf Scout brought this Christmas version straight from the North Pole! The littles were thrilled to see what he’d cooked up for them and I know it will be our suppertime entertainment for the next few weeks. Like the Halloween version, the player must roll 3 dice and total them up. Even numbers get a truth and odd numbers get a dare. We simply go around the table and take turns choosing for each other.
You can find the instant download in my etsy store for $2.50!! All ages can play and laughs are pretty much guaranteed. Our “elf” printed ours on the front and back of a piece of cardstock and then laminated so that it will last us for years to come. (Yes, I do realize that the baby is always in some state of undress. A fine example of picking my battles.)
As a little holiday treat, I’m giving away a printed and laminated copy to one lucky reader. The giveaway is open to US mailing addresses only. Post a separate comment for any/all of the following and leave your email address if you don’t have a blog or profile where I can find you. You will get one chance to win for each thing you do – that’s two chances per person!!
1. Follow my blog and leave a comment letting me know.
2. Leave a comment letting me know about your family’s favorite holiday tradition.
I’ll choose a winner on December 11.
Merry Christmas, y’all!
xoxo
I follow your blog, of course!
We have so many Christmas traditions, but one of my most favorite is our nightly reading from The Advent Book (by Kathy & Jack Stockman) ~ opening a door for each day of December and reading a little part of the Christmas story each night.
Obviously I follow your blog! :)
Amanda, can you tell me how you keep your chair backs clean? And the seats? Did Chang do those chairs?
One of our favorite traditions is to put out the nativity. Baby Jesus is placed out Christmas Eve after his "birth" and I move the wise men around the room till they arrive at the nativity for epiphany
I have followed your blog forever! I love it!

Favorite Christmas tradition. My boys are still little, but I think MY favorite is seeing Santa every year. I've been lucky to get the CUTEST pictures of my oldest one. This year may be a trial…our baby is almost 2.
Being a family of two right now, our favorite tradition is going shopping for an Angel Tree child. For most children, this is all they get so it feels good to give back this time of year.
As far as a favorite Christmas tradition …. I'm not very creative (which is why I LOVE this blog so much!It helps people like me TREMENDOUSLY!!!) My 19year old son would say his favorite Family tradition that we have is the huge Christmas breakfast we always have on Christmas morning. The one year I mentioned changing it up a little, he definitely made it clear it needed to stay the same! (See, all the more reason I need to win this Truth or Dare game … this girl needs HELP!! lol)
MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL:)
I follow!!
Our favorite tradition is reading a little part of the Christmas story each night (from an advent calendar) each night starting December 1. I feel like so many things about Christmas emphasize Santa and gifts but this is one thing the kids love that is actually what Christmas should be about!!

With a 5 and a 2 year old – I am trying to focus more on our Advent pouches and daily reading of the Christmas story….but they just adore the elf and can't wait to find him each morning. We had a ball on Thanksgiving with your Turkey Talk – thanks for doing these fun games!!!

Picking a favorite tradition is tough, but my favorite is that Mary and Joseph (from our nativity scene) travel all over our house during the night until they arrive at the stable Christmas morning and baby Jesus is in the manger. It is my Christ-centered version of the Elf on the Shelf, I guess. lol
I adore your blog! I used so many of your cute ideas for my own kiddos.
My favorite tradition is ringing my Grandmas jingle bells to start the holiday. The kids have to hide in a back room until they hear the bells. Then the holiday has begun!!!
I follow your blog and look forward to reading it each day… even though I have no idea how you do it all!?!? jwheelerk at yahoo dot com
We always attend the Christmas parade in our little town, then drink hot chocolate at the little coffee shop. It is such a fun memory for my kids and myself!

I follow your blog and have shared your blog with 4 people this weekend (hopefully, they are new followers now).
Our family Christmas traditions are many but my favorite is making gingerbread houses with my children. We started out making them with graham crackers 'glued' with icing to a school milk carton and have grown to full Gingerbread houses. We now pick a theme of the Gingerbread Village each year.
As always thanks for opening your home and sharing your blessings with us.
