Christmas Truth or Dare {Giveaway}

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED – congratulations Anita on the win.  I can’t tell y’all how much I enjoyed reading about all of your Christmas
traditions.  I think my very favorite was from all of you that move your Mary
and Joseph around the house in the days leading up to Christmas.  So very
sweet.

After spending a month playing our Halloween Truth or Dare game, our thrifty and crafty little elf Scout brought this Christmas version straight from the North Pole!  The littles were thrilled to see what he’d cooked up for them and I know it will be our suppertime entertainment for the next few weeks.   Like the Halloween version, the player must roll 3 dice and total them up.  Even numbers get a truth and odd numbers get a dare.  We simply go around the table and take turns choosing for each other.

You can find the instant download in my etsy store for $2.50!!  All ages can play and laughs are pretty much guaranteed.  Our “elf” printed ours on the front and back of a piece of cardstock and then laminated so that it will last us for years to come.  (Yes, I do realize that the baby is always in some state of undress.  A fine example of picking my battles.)

I’ll choose a winner on December 11.

  1. We have so many Christmas traditions, but one of my most favorite is our nightly reading from The Advent Book (by Kathy & Jack Stockman) ~ opening a door for each day of December and reading a little part of the Christmas story each night.

  2. Favorite Christmas tradition. My boys are still little, but I think MY favorite is seeing Santa every year. I've been lucky to get the CUTEST pictures of my oldest one. This year may be a trial…our baby is almost 2.

  3. Being a family of two right now, our favorite tradition is going shopping for an Angel Tree child. For most children, this is all they get so it feels good to give back this time of year.

  4. As far as a favorite Christmas tradition …. I'm not very creative (which is why I LOVE this blog so much!It helps people like me TREMENDOUSLY!!!) My 19year old son would say his favorite Family tradition that we have is the huge Christmas breakfast we always have on Christmas morning. The one year I mentioned changing it up a little, he definitely made it clear it needed to stay the same! (See, all the more reason I need to win this Truth or Dare game … this girl needs HELP!! lol)
    MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL:)

  5. Our favorite tradition is reading a little part of the Christmas story each night (from an advent calendar) each night starting December 1. I feel like so many things about Christmas emphasize Santa and gifts but this is one thing the kids love that is actually what Christmas should be about!!

  6. I follow and our favorite Christmas tradition is – not going to lie – finding the elf on the shelf. With a 5 and a 2 year old – I am trying to focus more on our Advent pouches and daily reading of the Christmas story….but they just adore the elf and can't wait to find him each morning. We had a ball on Thanksgiving with your Turkey Talk – thanks for doing these fun games!!!

  7. My favorite tradition is to decorate the tree while listening to carols and sipping eggnog! I usually decorate the house by myself but the tree is a group effort and lots of fun!

  8. Christmas stockings and having a cinnamon roll wreath for Christmas morning breakfast. I love making them!

My computer is sick so just have a moment to check in. I so miss not seeing your blog daily! The Christmas decor is absolutely stunning! I don't know how you do it but it's just so beautiful, warm and welcoming.

    Love the game too!

  9. Picking a favorite tradition is tough, but my favorite is that Mary and Joseph (from our nativity scene) travel all over our house during the night until they arrive at the stable Christmas morning and baby Jesus is in the manger. It is my Christ-centered version of the Elf on the Shelf, I guess. lol

  10. I adore your blog! I used so many of your cute ideas for my own kiddos.

My favorite tradition is ringing my Grandmas jingle bells to start the holiday. The kids have to hide in a back room until they hear the bells. Then the holiday has begun!!!

  11. I follow your blog and look forward to reading it each day… even though I have no idea how you do it all!?!? jwheelerk at yahoo dot com

  12. We also have tons of traditions for Christmas. Some taken from our own childhood and some we are still creating as adults with our own little family. One of my favorite the advent calendar!

  13. I have yet to figure out how to follow a blog (I've tried to follow you a few times though). Being that my husband is in IT, I'll see if her can help me out (ha!).

My favorite tradition is making ebelskiver – traditional Scandinavian breakfast (like round pancakes). We have the great / grandmothers pan from Denmark.

  14. So hard to choose my favorite one but I think it might be decorating the little tree in my son's room. He gets so excited!

  15. One of our favorite Christmas traditions is to eat BBQ from The Beacon Drive In on Christmas Eve. It's a great departure from regular Christmas fare and clean up is quick because we even use paper plates!!!

  16. I follow your blog and have shared your blog with 4 people this weekend (hopefully, they are new followers now).
Our family Christmas traditions are many but my favorite is making gingerbread houses with my children. We started out making them with graham crackers 'glued' with icing to a school milk carton and have grown to full Gingerbread houses. We now pick a theme of the Gingerbread Village each year.
As always thanks for opening your home and sharing your blessings with us.

  17. The start of our Christmas season was breakfast with Santa at the art institute. My kids are older now, but if look forward to the time we an start it again with grandkids. Thanks for the give a way.

  18. One of our favorite Family traditions is to have my mom over and we bake tons of goodies to give to our friends and families! My daughter loves to help too! She loves it when we make a big mess :)

  19. Our family attends a Christmas Eve service, takes a family picture at church usually in front of a tree, eats Kentucky Fried Chicken to remember some Japanese friends of mine, and then opens one present (jammies) before reading the Christmas story before bed.

  20. I am also a Georgia girl~ although I've lived in Tennessee the past 22 years. I absolutely love your blog and hope that my youngest son chooses to attend Georgia Tech one day;)

  21. Also, one of our favorite Christmas Eve traditions is to read The Small One after we get back from church. It is the sweetest story and makes me cry every year!

  22. Our family tradition is to put the nativity under the tree….it is the focal point and reminds us what the best present of all is…..knowing Jesus!

I love it when our cats become a part of the manager scene too :)

    Blessings,
    Linda
