I had a request to bring back Sunday Suppers here on the blog, and it wasn’t until then that I realized I hadn’t been writing about it much lately. We try our best to sit down together to a home cooked meal and enjoy a long, relaxing dinner each and every Sunday. We eat off of the fine china, practice our manners and take time to just be a family. Now, this meal is not always (or ever) fancy but I do always try to make something that I know everyone will enjoy eating. When I found the Cheeseburger Casserole recipe flipping through a magazine at the Costco checkout, I snapped a quick pic with my phone and couldn’t wait to make it for the littles.
Cheeseburger Casserole
2 lbs ground beef (I used lean.)
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 bag (20oz-ish) frozen crinkle cut french fries (I used Alexia…love all of their taters.)
Toppings of choice – finely diced pickles, onions, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard
1. Brown ground beef and drain. Spread in bottom of ungreased 3 qt casserole dish.
2. Mix two soups together in a bowl. Spread over meat. Top with bag of frozen fries.
3. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes (or until fries are done). Garnish with toppings.
I must admit that I was skeptical at first. But it was pretty good – everyone gobbled it up and it took no time at all to put together!

It would be a hit at my house! xo
This looks absolutely delicious! I bet my kids and husband would adore this!!
Definitely trying this one!!
We take out the fine china on Sundays too, even if the meal is just hotdogs. For some reason, my kids love it when I light candles.
Wahoo! Sunday suppers are back!
Thanks for sharing Amanda. I may try a version of this as I have to alter a few things due to dietary restrictions, but it looks yummy!!
That's an updated version of the Tater Tot Casserole I grew up with. Ground beef mixed w/cream of mushroom soup & topped with frozen tater tots. Haven't eaten it since I was a kid!
Sounds really good, thanks!
We ate tater tot casserole while I was growing up too! The guys in my household love it – will have to try it with fries.
