A Surprise Birthday Dinner

Bestie A was a complete doll to not only prepare an amazing meal in honor of my birthday, but to also surprise me with four of my best ever friends in attendance.

This girl is truly a remarkable cook.  I drool over her creations on a daily basis via her My First Word Was Eat Instagram, so it was a supreme honor to have her put together a meal just for little old me.  She served up individual Lobster Thermidors, a salad of roasted red and golden beets, blood oranges, shaved fennel and frond, and basil and a crusty bread.

Even her salt and pepper cellars were drool worthy.  I’m going to have Mother and Daddy-O bring me two shells on their next trip up so that I can recreate this STAT!

The divine dessert was just the  icing on the cake, so to speak.  We celebrated over a chocolate ganache tart with homemade goat cheese ice cream and cherry sauce.  OMG.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

It was one of the loveliest evenings I’ve had in a long, long time.  Thank you bestie A, and all the rest of you gals that came to celebrate, for the memories and years of friendship!

  3. Call C&S to see if you can swing by for some shells. They are in the Kroger shopping center at Cobb pkwy and Paces Mill. It's a great restaurant too.
