Let’s see… I have a few other things on my mind.  First, my heart goes out to all of those across Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia that have been terribly impacted by this awful storm.  It wasn’t nearly as bad as predicted here where were are.  I hope that the second round coming tonight goes by quickly and quietly.  John is terrified of storms after the tree grazed our house last spring.  He slept in our bed last night so between his jerking and jiving all night long and my ankle, it was pretty miserable but I’m considering us fortunate.

Speaking of my ankle, I had a good day yesterday.  It didn’t hurt all that much and I was at least able to get my laundry done.  I was feeling good about it until around bedtime when it started really aching again.  This morning I could barely walk when I got out of bed and had to skip a room mom meeting at the PCP’s school because I couldn’t stand up long enough to get ready.  Friday can’t come quick enough (my follow up appt).  It’s been two and a half weeks since I fell and a week sitting, icing and wearing the brace with no improvement.  I’m starting to think a fracture is a real possibility.  (That being said, I have a yummy lunch planned with a dear friend that is moving to Chicago in a month and I’m going to make it to that if I have to go in my pjs and crawl in the door of the restaurant.)

I’ve had so many of you reach out to tell me you are no longer getting my blog post in your inbox.  I have NO clue how to fix this.  If anyone out there knows, please share your insights with me.  My IT support (Honey) has been useless on the matter.  (Probably because he is now cooking, cleaning and doing laundry at night since I can’t get around.  He’s a good man.)

  7. Very sorry to hear your ankle injury is holding you back from fun things. Has anyone recommended a "knee walker" to you? (Google it) Your doctors can prescribe it or you can simply rent one from a medical devices place. It will really help you get around more easily than crutches or hobbling. It's like a scooter so the boys might be very envious of your new mode of transportation!

    I am a long time follower via email and am one of the ones who is no longer receiving your posts. Best as I understand it, it is due to Yahoo changing some platform. The good news is that Rhoda from Southern Hospitality seems to have found an answer – may be a temporary fix – but seems to work. SHE SAYS: "Some of you have been having problems getting my email subscriptions and I think I have it fixed now. Apparently some mail accounts changed some settings and wouldn’t let feeds go out with a personal email attached, so I changed it to my blog email address (which I have through my host service) and I hope all is well now."

    Hope this helps or at least guides Honey in the right direction!
