Rangers Baseball

On the same day that he graduated pre-K, “Big Hit” Whit finished up a fantastic third season of baseball!!

This kid is beyond his years serious about playing ball.  He was a star first baseman for the Rangers and gave it his all the whole season long, logging quite a few outs for his team.

He ran the bases so fast, you’d miss him if you turned your head.  He was always baseball ready!!

And, just once during the whole season, he got to play catcher.  This is a position both of my boys covet, as it was their Daddy’s position from high school through Georgia Tech!

He brought home the game ball for an in the park home run, sweet boy.  He remains completely nonchalant about these kinds of things.  Not much gets him excited, and not much gets his goat.  He’s as even keeled as his daddy.

I look forward to many more years of cheering on my baby from the stands.  I can’t tell you how many times I want to scream “THAT’S MY KID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”  He makes me so proud I could just burst with happiness.

That being said, I wasn’t too torn up to see the season come to a close.  Our summer days are reserved for the pool and relaxing :-)

  1. His bangs look all grown out! When I was about his age I took play scissors and chopped some hair off. My mom was SO MAD! It looks like it is all grown out! Kids are the best! Especially when they do us proud~
