We have a little tradition of making our annual summer bucket list on the last day of school. This year, we laid it all out on our basement chalkboard.
The littles were lofty with their goals, planning to cram a whole lot in to their 74 days of summer vacation!
And looking back, I’d say we did a pretty darn good job at it!!! We…
Spent many lazy days at the pool
Had loads of family fun at our Rosemary Beach Week
Hosted a FROZEN Back to School Party
Went to quite a few movies including Maleficent, Rio 2, Planes Fire & Rescue and Disney Bears!!
Mini-golfed with friends in Atlanta and family in Savannah
Hosted our Annual 4th of July Soiree
Convened with nature in a week of summer camp
Had plenty of play time with friends
and bowled countless games with this sweet friend!!
As for the rest of the things on our list, we accomplished but didn’t photograph a sleepover, going to work with daddy, slip n sliding, catching fireflies, dancing, geocaching and grilling steaks (what kind of kids are these?!).
Aaaaand, on top of our list, we did these super fun things…
We didn’t get around to camping (but we have two outings planned!). We had to miss our annual visit with Alex & Erin and thus didn’t scratch off fishing either. We didn’t hit up World of Coke since I took both of them during the school year. And we never made it to Stone Mountain.
In spite of the “didn’t” list, it was a fun-filled, action-packed summer from the first day to the 74th. We made loads of memories and spent tons of time together. And we ALL agree that we wouldn’t change one single thing about the summer of ‘14!!!

I just posted a list like this on my IG – but I'm happy to say we still have almost a month until our summer vacation is over! Your summer sure looks fun filled & memorable! xo
I'd say you all accomplished a mighty lot!! Nature camp sounds like so much fun!
Sounds like a summertime well spent. While summer vacation may be over, we still have a few weeks left in the season…(In case you want to continue checking off the list!)
You did a GREAT job! One thing still on my list that I need to get to, is making homemade ice cream!!
Fantastic! While I was traveling, I saw your amazing Frozen snowflake cookies on Instagram but not the party. Did I miss the post? What a summer to remember!

Fantastic summer!! I think Stone Mountain is better for the Fall anyways, when you can see all the beautiful leaves and it's not so stinkin' hot!
I would say y'all hit it out of the ballpark! So much fun was had by the looks of those smiling faces in the photos. Well, minus the bat incident.
Great recap post!
You certainly packed a lot of great summer fun for your family…the boys are blessed with such a wonderful mom…and dad too….and then again you are blessed with two fantastic boys!!
I am boo whoing over here thinking of the great summer and where oh where did it go??? Great memories! xo
