I spied this darling Bar sign at Homegoods for $99 back before ankle-gate 2.0. It is the perfect colors for my Georgia Tech basement. Too bad my once stylish bar is now a modified trophy case. LOL

Speaking of the devil, one of my friends with a daughter in his class texted me this pic of him in class. He’s a nut! It warmed my mommy heart to see such a big, genuine smile on his face. I still miss him a lot during the day.

I picked up a couple of yards of these darling cords at Hancock for Mother to make something cute for CeeCee. If mine were a little younger I would have grabbed a couple of yards of the raccoon for pants this fall!

John’s teacher celebrated her birthday last month. As the room parent in charge of “events and appreciation”, I simply asked each student to bring in a hand-made card and something from her favorites list if they wished. We picked out a Coke Zero and a yummy Ghiradelli chocolate bar and wrapped it up in a cello bag. I’m hoping that $4 made her day :-)

John has been back on the courts this fall. Between tennis and baseball for this one and soccer and baseball for his brother I never know which way I’m going these days.

This is an amazing article with 101 Disney Dining Tips. I read the entire thing and pinned it for future reference. I love pretty much every blog post this team has written, to tell you the truth!

Oh, and while we’re on the topic of food (I’m starving… can you tell), I pinned about twenty of these 200 Recipes for Football Season from How Sweet It Is. That bread…

With that, I’m off … er… actually I’m not. I’ll be heading to the ortho in a few minutes and then sitting here with my leg propped up on ice the rest of the day. waaaahhhhhhh. Cross those fingers for good news and a speedy recovery. I’ve got Disney World to visit!!

  1. Ok, I am pinning that little happy as who would not love a coke and a special candy bar as a pick me up!! Thanks for sharing Amanda. I hope you get to the bottom of this ankle problem as there can be no healing until the problem is pinpointed. Have a good weekend.

  2. Go, Amanda, Go! Tell the doc that a lot of gals are counting on you, with fall kicking into high gear!

By the way, send somebody to Home Goods ASAP….they had a dreamy, turquoise ceramic pumpkin at ours yesterday and you just have to have one!

  3. Getting excited for your Disney trip! PLEASE let me know when you're coming as we have to cross paths at some point. Can't wait to meet all your handsome fella's– and especially YOU! So sorry to hear about your ankle; prayers coming for a swift and speedy recovery. And I too LOVE Disney Tourist Blog- Tom and Sarah are a well-versed Disney pair. Love their IG feeds, too.

  4. Your kids are so cute! I'll bet Whit keeps the whole class laughing with his antics.

So sorry about your ankle! I've been trying to catch up with blog reading and just learned about it. Hope you received good news from the Dr.
