Typhoon Lagoon

After a very long day at the Magic Kingdom, I’ll be honest and say we were dragging a little for Typhoon Lagoon.

The weather was super iffy and we were glad we got on up and went because we did everything we wanted to do, had lunch and were back in the room at early afternoon.

Like last year, we worked our way clockwise around the park.  It was an overcast Tuesday in the off season and we literally walked on to every.single.slide.

The Disney theming is just incredible here.  Of course, it all looked better last year under blue skies :-)

We stopped mid-morning for another round of mini-donuts.  YUM!!

And promptly afterwards, my camera battery died.  womp womp.  We spent the rest of the morning in the wave pool and on the lazy river, then we hit a few favorites again before heading back to watch cartoons, play games and kind of doze in and out for the rest of the day!

  1. Looks like another amazing day of Disney fun. Now that you have been to both water parks, which of the two is your favorite? I just love reading your Disney trip reports! Thank you so much for sharing!

    1. Typhoon Lagoon was our favorite because John could do everything there and Whit could do nearly everything. We all love the shark experience too. For us, we tended to prefer the tropical theme over the blizzard theme.

  2. I also would like to know which water park was your favorite? Also, since you have gone a few times, is it always this rainy this time of year? We luckily had some nice days for our trip, but Tuesday and Friday of last week it did down pour for a few hours. We still enjoyed time at the parks and just had to wear ponchos or go to our hotel for the rainy times. Just wondering, because even though we really enjoyed the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot/Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, I am not sure if we will go again in September due to the rain.

    1. It rained on us WAY more this time than the other two times we've come this time of year. It definitely rained the other trips, but more like an hour thunderstorm and then it cleared up quickly after. This trip seemed to have a few days where it just drizzled on and off ALL DAY. We are off school so we will continue to come rain or no rain. The crowds were very manageable and at least it isn't SO hot.
