Disney Girls Trip: Magic Kingdom

When Sister suggested that I would LOVE her co-worker’s wife more than five years ago, I never dreamed how right she would be! Bestie M and I are so alike in many, many ways – we share a love of Lilly, Disney, crafting, Bloody Mary’s, being up at the crack of dawn, caesar salads, all things preppy, flip flops, Georgia Tech, the South, and many, many, more things. So, I cannot believe it took us this long to plan a girls weekend to Disney together! We were on a flight to Orlando before the sun came up on Friday, and this was the first pic of the trip – the delightful set-up M packed in her carry-on for our first cocktail of the Food & Wine Festival Weekend. Everyone around us, fight attendants included, were asking where they could get those cups. So fun!

We dropped our bags at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and were at the Magic Kingdom by noon.

We really had the best day, just doing as we pleased.

We hit up Memento Mori – the new Haunted Mansion gift shop. I got the cutest tee for Honey and a pin for John for his collection.

We were both so excited to dine in the mysterious West Wing of Be Our Guest for lunch. Of course, we both feasted on the croque monsieur with pommes frites. Yum!!

After lunch we met up with Disneyfied Ash for the Festival of Fantasy parade. And then we had a real magical moment when we scored spontaneous Seven Dwarves Mine Train fast passes!!

I can’t even remember exactly how the rest of the day went, but based on this pic, I KNOW we did a spin on the tea cups :-)

The Magic Kingdom closed early for the Halloween Party, so we hit the Grand Floridian on our way back to dinner at the resort.

It was such a FUN and memorable day. And we only felt a teensy weensy bit guilty about the six littles we left at home with their daddy’s :-)

xoxo

PS. My necklace is by The Little Black Bow and I’ll be doing a giveaway real soon!! Bestie M’s shirt is by That Southern Chick.

  1. You're the only Disney princess I want to meet. :)
So glad you had a great (and cute!) getaway. Can't wait to hear how the boy's club did!
