We spent our last morning at Disney dining on Mickey waffles by the pool and then trying our hand at a little mini golf as we jet out of town. We love to do something like this on our last day so that we end on a magical note!
As usual, Winter Summerland is an impeccable example of Disney theming. It seems that late one Christmas Eve, as Santa was flying back to the North Pole, he discovered snow in Florida. After surveying the strange sight, he decided to build a vacation destination for his off-duty elves—a Winter Summerland.
There is even hula hooping while you wait for your tee time.
Seeing that the only thing Winter Summerland lacked was a golf course, Santa and his elves divided into 2 camps, one that enjoyed the warm Florida sun and another that preferred the snow and cold of the North Pole. The elves then built 2 distinctly different 18–hole golf experiences: a sand course named “Summer” and a snow course named “Winter.” We opted for the Winter course, it being summer and all.
And so off we went on one of the most unique mini golf courses we’d ever played. All the while, singing along to Christmas carols.
I not only got the first hole in one, but had the hole in one record for our family. (Let’s just ignore the fact that I also came in fourth out of four. When I’m on, I’m on. But when I’m off….)
The baby got the next hole in one!!
Squirty the Snowman was just one example of FUN on the course.
The courses combine for the last holes, and after sinking the last putt on Hole 18, golfers receive a special message from Santa Claus, courtesy of the WinterNet!
And, when you turn your clubs in at the starter shack, you are treated to a candy cane!!
This isn’t he best picture, but I adored how there were reindeer hoof marks running out of the reindeer barn headed towards the sleigh. I mean, it’s just all too fabulous!!
After our golf, we hit the road for home. We got in about nine and headed back to school on Monday. My last installment will be on our stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. So many wonderful memories were made this week!!

What a fun way to end your trip! I'll say again that it really does seem magical, even just reading about it! So glad y'all had an awesome time!
I believe this is always included with out Disney package, but I never knew what it was- have never, ever heard about it. Looks like a blast for the kids. We'll have to give it a try. Thanks!
