Holiday Happenings

We’ve been partying up a storm this week, what with two class parties, movie days and two parties with my girlfriends!! (I’m not going to be a debbie downer and share the parts of the week that included temporarily losing my purse, showing up late to basketball to find the baby was barefoot, and freaking out at the bus stop when the same child didn’t get off because I forgot he was enrolled in an after school program that day…)Whit’s class had a FROZEN themed party, of course!! We started the event reading the Frozen Little Golden Book* while the littles sipped on hot chocolate and ate snowflake cookies. Afterwards, they rotated through 5 stations: Olaf bean bag toss, Elsa’s Icy Freeze (essentially hot potato but with a “snowball”), Olaf in a Jar craft, Sven paper bag craft and Olaf snack mix to carry home. At the end they did a book exchange. It was such a precious morning!

In John’s class we had a snowman themed party that was equally as fun!! They made Snowman Soup (one to drink and one to take home) and melted snowman cookies, and they played bingo, charades, and roll-a-snowman. It was a super fun afternoon, made even sweeter knowing how this dear child suffered so at the beginning of the school year. He’s as happy as a clam now and it was abundantly evident!

In between all of that, I hosted my supper club (we ditched the men and the cooking a while ago so we are really just a ladies wine and gossip club now, I guess) one night…

…and then spent a hysterically fun and festive evening at The Pink Clutch’s holiday soiree.

Both of the littles have movie day today, which they were over the moon excited about, and we are going out to dinner with friends and wrapping gifts tonight. I do adore the holidays!!!!

  1. I miss the kid's holiday school parties! So much fun (however exhausting). And, so jealy…Paige and Tricia (and you)???!!! Sweetest hometown girls ever.

  2. I feel your pain when a child didn't get off the bus. Last year at pick up the teacher signing kids out 'joked' that my child was not there. Hadn't seen them all day. I freaked out. Horrible feeling!!!!! Meanwhile a party at the Pink Clutch!!!! Had to be fabulous.
