Musings

We’ve been having a merry go of it this month!! SOOO many fun things going on AND we’re knocking things off our advent calendar left and right.

We’ve put our hot chocolate station to good use…

And an extra special momento of our bat. Ugh…what a crazy year!

While on the topic of Christmas loves, I absolutely adore these Santa sacks from HKL Designs

…and this Disney lover can’t get enough of the annual Christmas print from The Old Try. #believeinyetis

Speaking of things I can’t get enough of, look how big our baby is…

I made these olive oil and sea salt brownie cookies for my cookie exchange party last week. They were soooo yummy!!!

I’ve been loving my Lindsay Phillips flats and all the holiday snaps Mother gave me for Christmas last year!!

We made reindeer food last week to spread all over Daddy-O’s lawn on Christmas Eve (he’ll love that). Did y’all know that Target doesn’t sell glitter?? what the what??? I absolutely refused to go into Michael’s for it so I bought a silver garland instead and had the littles cut it up. If you think glitter is the devil to clean up, try ten thousand bits of cut up tinsel garland. LOL. Next time I’ll just go to Michael’s.

I’ve got new tartan plaid things listed in the etsy shop. If only I’d been more on the ball and had these ready for Christmas delivery.

I ordered these two big bows on etsy as well. They will be darling on my Minnie ears next time we head down to the World!!

A sweet reader sent me these Georgia Tech inspired ornaments for our tree. At some point I’ll put our full sized GT tree back up in the basement, but for now they are lovely on the tree in the den!

Have I mentioned how much I love the baby’s teacher??? She often sends me precious pics like this of my baby’s day.

The boys ran in the school fun run a few weeks ago on a cold, rainy morning.

John came in 3rd place!

I spied this brilliant billboard last week and had to share…

  1. December is my very favorite! So glad yours has been a fun month so far! Those ornaments – perfection (especially the bat!), cousins, Whit's hair & that precious Cee Cee – too adorable, your new tartan items – to die for! Happy Tuesday! xo

  2. Amanda, I have loved following along on my of these events on Instagram. Whit's hair made me laugh out loud! Too funny. The new tartan is incredible. Love the new bows. I need to update my ears I made from your pattern for Halloween and make them less "Halloweenish". (Is that a word?)
    Happy December!

  3. No 1 thing on my 2015 To-Do List is have my custom monogram done. I covet your's each and every time I see it. Oh, and FYI: Our Tuesday Morning had a gaggle of Spode items and I was able to FINALLY find the shower curtain at an unbelievable price of $19.99 PLUS an additional 25% off. Can you believe it? Total cost with tax was less that $16.50. I'm such a happy girl today!

  4. Love the tartan mug & Lindsay Phillips shoes & clips! Love your Lilly ornaments & that your boys are churning out tinsel for reindeer food-so cute. I was beyond the moon excited to have scored an Old Try Yeti print this year!!! Thank you for telling me about this fantastic company, I've ordered lots of prints this year and let them know you pointed them out to me. Guess what my hubby is getting for Christmas? Have a great week & stay away from bats!

  5. I am crazy mad in love with the Yeti poster! I love yetis and have a collection of adorable pink yetis waiting for my granddaughter to love as much as I do. I checked the site that you referred to but was unable to find the Yeti print. Now I'm on a quest to find the Yeti!

Whit's hair was my particular favorite of your pics today. Congrats to John on winning third place in the fun run!

    1. Lisa – I believe the Yeti was a gift with purchase. Definitely reach out to them at the Old Try as I have found them to be lovely to work with! Have a great holiday!!!!!!!!! xo

  6. You probably already know this, but instead of glitter you can use sparkling colored sugar (cupcake topping). It's much cleaner and just melts away in the yard. I make reindeer food with my own children and my class of kindergarteners…so I love those less messy options. ;) I love your blog! Thanks for sharing with us!

    1. I actually never thought of this until I read it on Instagram last week. Definitely filing that idea away for next year :-) Merry Christmas, Christy!! xo
