Chalk Project {March}

I spent quite a lot of time at school this week!  Not only did I get to attend the third grade field trip, but I was also a center volunteer in the baby’s class.  Afterwards, we fashioned a chalk rainbow on the sidewalk and turned the students into silly little leprechauns for this month’s photo.

I think that the parents are going to go wild when they get their Kindergarten year photo books.  Just a couple more to go before I’ve got a first grader on my hands.  How is that even possible?!?!

We’ve got a soccer game, a baseball game and the funeral for my dear, sweet friend M’s mother today.  My heart hurts for her, her father and her whole family.

  1. God bless you and all of your friend's loved ones. May you find comfort in all the love she left behind (among it, a best friend!) and find joy in knowing she entered Heaven at this glorious time of year. Having just gone through it myself, please give her my sincere condolences. When you think of her mom in God's arms, the grief is much more bearable. Take care, friend. Jane ~ San Diego

  2. PS…Your yearbooks are going to be treasures and everybody will love them! Whit truly is your father's namesake…his eyes look just like his ~ it's so evident with the mustache! Too cute! Jane, SD

  3. The pictures are precious and I know the parents will love them. So sorry to learn of the passing of M's mother. Will be praying for her and the family.

  4. What a wonderful gift for the parents to receive, they're going to love all those pictures of their children! I'm so sorry for your friend. The saddest days of my life were my parents' funerals. It hurts not to be able to tell your parents something funny your children did or just getting advice. I know you're a good friend to her, give her lots of love. Hope you have a wonderful week!

  5. Amanda,
    I am a 4th grade teacher and a mom of 3. You are a teacher's dream parent. Teaching is a difficult and time-consuming job. When a caring, friendly parent can offer support (like you do), it means the world. Your boys are so lucky to have a mom who is so engaged. I love all of the pictures you have been taking – but this leprechaun one is my fave!!! It is super cute.
    Best,
