Beware, Haunted

Come inside… if you dare!

A huge spider makes his way up the front facade, while pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns adorn the porch.  The Bronwyn Hanahan Candy Corn hangs on the door.

Now, enter at your own risk!  A bevy of black crows have taken over the foyer, and bats are flying rampant.  Not to mention the rats that are making their way upstairs.  Ballard Designs pumpkin lamp shades make spooky orange light dance about the room.

In the kitchen, more skeletons, pumpkins and crows run amuck.  I purchased the Coton Colors spider attachment for the Happy Everything plate and spooky holographic pictures in Dollar Tree frames have replaced family photos.

Would you like to join us for supper?  Dine, if you dare!  *bwahahaha*  Crows and rats and spiders are a plenty at this dinner.  Spooky place cards for “undead dad”, “mummified mom”, “warlock whit” and “zombie johnny” ensure everyone a place at the table.  A cauldron bubbles over with glass ornaments (thanks, Sister!).

In the den, more family photos have been replaced with spooky holographic images from the Dollar Tree (last year).  Frames are also from Dollar Tree.

And out on the porch, more bats, crows and even a skeleton have settled in for the month.  The Nevermore canvas has come back as well.

I had hoped to swap out my Angie Reuter fish for a chalkboard last Halloween but never got to it.  I was thrilled when Honey whipped it out last weekend – and completely with supplies we already had!!

Last, but not least, the friends entry has received its very own wreath and jack-o-lantern.

  1. I am so happy to be the first to comment on your Spooktacular posting, wow it is cool, scary, with lots of fun things, it is so fun to find someone who loves all the scary goulie like me…I adore those dinner plates with the rats on them and of course all the birds and skeletons…come over for a visit for sure to meet the goulie house sitters, it was a three part presentation, you will love it, I know because I love yours so much…Phyllis

  2. Love every detail of your design dear! you and I are 'crows of the same feather
'! LOL! I go a bit crazy too for Halloween! Check out my Dining room when you have the time, still have to share the rest of my home for Halloween. Yours is just fabulous!

  3. I would definitely come inside! ;-) How geeky is it to admit I've been waiting for this post?! Love the new touches & now my boys are asking for a big spider on the front porch. Enjoy your spooky home! xo

  4. Amazing! You went all out girlfriend. And agree…that is worthy of a magazine spread. Now that the kiddos are gone we don't really decorate for Halloween. Love seeing everyone else decor though.

  5. I have a question. Saw your precious Happy Everything. What size is your platter? Are you using the large attachment on the small platter?
    thanks,
    missy

  6. My all time favorite Halloween house! I just love everything each year. What's the scoop on the big spider outside? He may be my favorite :). Classicaly fabulous as always!

    1. I have a 50" hairy spider from WalMart climbing our foyer wall, but this makes me think he needs a friend outside :)

  7. I just KNEW you were up to something! haha It all looks FABULOUS and you outdid yourself. You really are inspiring. Thank you so much! Please ask "Sister" to show us hers again this year too. I love your blog so much and I'm like Christi (4th post above)…I've been waiting for this too! Jane, San Diego

  8. I can't believe the time, effort, and pure talent you have! Well, really I can. You have proven yourself over and over. You need your own show! Love Sister's "bubbles" idea. You both need a show together! :-) Spooky spectacular!

  9. You can bet your boots (or your witch's hat) I'd come inside! The word PHENOMENAL comes to mind here. Now THAT is a Halloween fiesta right there. Amazing. All you really need is someone buried in your front yard now and you are all set!;>) (Maybe a cranky neighbor?;>) xo Diana

  10. Wow, is there anything you cannot do??? I am always so impressed with your decorating style and ideas. Thank you so much for sharing!! Love it!

    1. It all goes into about 6 of those storage bins (plus skelly in his box) stacked in the attic. And the things I take down to make space go in the bins and back in the attic for the month.

  11. Lobster Meets Peach, I was wondering that too! It doesn't appear that your PERFECT (!) garage is storing it. Alright, Amanda, you must let us know where you keep it (and we promise not to tell "Honey"! ;)

  12. Thanks, Amanda! You are just too darn delightful! A few years ago, I finally figured out to stash my decor too in my bins and it makes putting everything back so much easier. I bet your attic is cute too! ;) You are still outta control (in a good way, of course!) I look forward to your blog very single day. God bless. Jane, San Diego

  13. Beautiful! I love it and I'm sure your family must too! Been lurking for a few months…love your blog, so many wonderful ideas! Love your AE Ceramics too!

  14. You are amazing! I'm been racking my brain what do to for a
Halloween party we are having…..So we r just going to have it at your place ;) Thank you for the endless inspiration !

  15. Wow your home and Halloween decor is something truly special! So much attention paid to detail…just fabulous! Coming to you from Be Inspired link party! Have a great day!
