I’m baaaaack….
As promised, I will show y’all every nook and cranny of our Halloween Home Tour over the next week, starting with the exterior and foyer.
We love to extend a haunted hello to our guests and neighbors this time of the year.
A spooky spider has once again spun his web atop our front porch. And friendly ghosts are scattered about the yard.
My ghostly door hanger is back out again and the ferns are still going strong. I will cry real tears when they finally freeze.
After twelve or so years, I finally replaced my jack o lanterns last year. I keep saying I will redo the pumpkin topiaries, but they are hanging in there.
I love to decorate the foyer for holidays. I mean, it’s the first place we greet our guests! Come in, if you dare.
I try to stick like things together so that it doesn’t look like a jumbled mess. The foyer is for all the bats, crows and mice. And the black and white color scheme just works well.
I swear every time I turn around Elsa has wiggled out of her cone (she got fixed last Monday). She’s looking awfully pleased with herself here for just that reason.
Heading around to the back of the house, I hung my DIY tulle wreath on the porch door and more jack o lanterns are spooky at night.
The friend’s entry got the darling candy corn door hanger this year and another jack o lantern.
All of our decor has been accumulated over the course of thirteen years. Here are the sources where originally purchased:
Ghost & Candy Corn door hangers – Bronwyn Hanahan
Spider, ghosts, witch’s hair (foyer table) – Michael’s
Faux carved pumpkins – Target
Jack o lantern shades – Ballard Designs
Bat mirror clings & cut out mice – Martha Stewart for Michael’s
Crows – assorted from Michael’s and Dollar Tree
Door mat – Hobby Lobby
Tulle wreath – DIY
Check back tomorrow for our creepy crawly den and kitchen!
xoxo

DIXIE DELIGHTS DELIVERED
I adore your haunted Halloween home! I purchased some similar jack-o-lanterns last year – at Ingles grocery store of all places! – and can’t wait to get them out today.
Can’t wait for the rest of your spooktacular tour! xo
So cute! I’m super jealous of the outside decorations. Our resident pup loves to run away with and stash any decorations I put on our front porch. The only thing that stays is a very large, very heavy cement rabbit….but even then he steals the rabbit’s bow!! Happy Halloween!
Julia
Oh my heavens this is absolutely fabulous! I HAVE to get my hubs on board and start doing this to our home! So fun! Happy Weekend to you all! xo
Amanda, everything looks fabulous, as usual! DO all of the faux jack o lanterns light up? Thank you. ~ Sherri
I’m typically not a Halloween lover, but the past few years you’ve converted me….absolutely fabulous!!
Everything looks so great! Where did you find that large spider on your exterior balcony?
I got him at Party City a couple of years ago. I’m sure they still have something like him! Or even Target, Michael’s or Home Depot.
