Halloween House {Dine…If You Dare}

I’m so excited to continue with our Halloween Home Tour!!  So far I’ve shared the exterior and entry and den and kitchen.  Today we are on to the dining room… if you dare!

DDHalloween

There’s not much I love more than setting a table.  It’s a relatively small space and it’s fun to get creative!  For this year’s Dine … if you dare dinner, I went with black, white and green.

I layered a spooky, torn cheese cloth over my usual linen runner.  I then topped it with a mixture of faux and real white pumpkins, layered in a bunch of black rats and dotted it with spiders.

I always love fresh flowers in the dining room and went with grocery store carnations, greenery and spiders.

I set each place with a burlap charger, black and white dinner plate, pumpkin soup bowl and gingham napkin.  Since we will have our Sunday Supper in here, I pulled out the good silver.

As a final touch, a mini cauldron bubbles over (glass Christmas ornaments) and each family member gets a spooky place card (mummified mom, undead dead, etc.)

So now the table is set… too bad that mummified mom can’t bibbidi bobbidi make dinner appear on the table.

I’ve had most of these items for years (nothing is new this year) but here are sources:
Torn cheese cloth and black rats – Dollar Tree
Candle sticks – Pottery Barn
Pumpkin soup bowls – JC Penney
Cauldron and ornaments – Michael’s
Dinner plates – Spode
Burlap chargers – Hobby Lobby, but mine belong to bestie P!

Check back tomorrow for the porch!
xoxo

  1. I adore your table setting – especially the Spode dinner plates & the pumpkin bowls. Perfectly set for a spooky Sunday Supper! xo

  2. Love the table! Spooky and pretty!! The Spode is perfect. One question…where are your julep cups from?
    Thank you and Happy Halloween!!
