Deck the Halls 2015 {Living + Dining Rooms}

After going with a white Christmas scheme the past couple of years, I went ahead and carried traditional colors from the rest of the house into the dining room.  And I love it!

For the centerpiece, I used Mother’s old classic fruit tree form for the first time in ages!  We adorned it with red apples and rosemary from the garden.  So, not only does it look good but it smells divine too.

The tartan napkins were from Home Goods last year and I had them monogrammed with my Number Four Eleven initials.  I added the matching table runner and fur trimmed pillows this year, also from Home Goods.

I had Natalie Chang hand letter place cards for the family.   This small touch makes such a huge impact!

I love my little manger scene.  It’s one of the very first Christmas decorations I ever purchased, about 17 years ago.

The living room gets is very own “coordinated” tree with nests, birds, feathers and oyster shells.

This tree is a must for me because it is the only place I have to have a tree in the front windows visible from the street.  :-)

Adding a swath of greenery to the top of sconces is something easy I do throughout my home.

I also always add a lit garland to the top of the bookshelves and my DIY coffee filter wreaths have stood up remarkably well!

The next stop on the tour is my family office where I get preppy and pink in every way possible!!  See y’all tomorrow!!

  1. Everything looks gorgeous! I have a question about the monogrammed napkins. Did you have just your initials on them or did you get them made with yours & your hubbys?

    1. I have a lucky scenario where they are the same. My first/last is AW and my first/his first is also AW. :-). I would do ours together if this weren’t the case.

  2. You have completely outdone yourself, yet again! As my best friend said to me this year about a room whose Christmas decor is always in cream, brown and gold, “What were doing in there without any red?!” It is all marvelous, Amanda. I love the use of your mother’s traditional apple tree, the touch of fur and the silver pinecone ornaments in your oyster bowl are great. Are the place cards something Natalie offered in the past? I love her style.

  3. So beautiful, Amanda! I would have never thought up that plaid + blue and white combo you have in your dining room, but I love it! Hope you have a lovely Christmas!
