Sunday Supper {Chili + Campfire Cones}

It’s finally feeling a bit like fall here in Atlanta – at least in the early mornings and late evenings.  When we camped at Stone Mountain, we took a twist on a easier-to-eat version of s’mores called the Campfire Cone.  It was a HUGE hit and we did come home with extra supplies so we’ve been making them on the grill for dessert here at home.

You’ll need:
sugar cones
mini marshmallows
chocolate chips
mini Reese’s Cups
aluminum foil
foil pan

To assemble, have each person fill their cone to their liking and then cover the tops with a bit of foil to keep all the goodness in.  Place on the heated grill (we used charcoal when camping and the Big Green Egg at home) for 5-10 minutes until the marshmallows are melted and chocolate is soft.

They are so yummy and something we will be treating ourselves to much more often now that a wood burning fire isn’t required.

I also wanted to say that I cooked up two pots of chili this week, both my beef version and chicken version.  They are always a huge hit and are SO easy to make.  I actually have three favorite versions (and will be cooking the third this week) and you can find all of the recipes here as well as all the info needed to host a chili and beer tasting party!

If you have a favorite fall recipe, I’d love for you to send me a link in the comments.  I kind of hate cooking in the summer but adore it in the fall and winter.

  1. I think hating cooking in the summer is universal in Georgia! We’ll have our first pot of chili this weekend for our Fall Bonfire Bash – and we might add campfire cones instead of regular ol’ s’mores! xo
