Deck the Halls 2016 {Master + Guest Bedrooms}

Y’all, I am SO SO SO excited to have our bedroom decorated for the first time ever!  I have had my eye out for the perfect bedding for eons, but it wasn’t until this year that I found the one my dreams were made of.

It is called Odette and is from Pottery Barn.  It’s such a beautiful pattern, with deer, swans, woodland rabbits and greenery.

It works perfectly with my linen coverlet and other bedding.  I pulled two euro shams from my guest room for the season.

I hung a simple wreath on the mirror and added a little greenery to the sconces.

I splurged on the coordinating pillow for the chair.  It’s actually quite large and is really beautiful in person.

There were matching stockings that would be darling hung on the dresser or at the foot of the bed, but I will have to hope I can get those on sale at the end of the season.  I was too worried that the bedding would sell out so I had to bite the bullet and pay full price (although I did have a 20% off coupon and got free shipping).

On the dresser I have a simple flower arrangement and a little painting made by Mother last year.  Watch my DIY flower arranging video for a how-to, tips and tricks!

Over in the guest bedroom, I just add a few little touches of Christmas for our guests (ie. Mother and Daddy-O).

I love hanging greenery and bows to the posts of the bed.

I have a small tree in here that I don’t even undecorate.  I just bag it up and store it at the end of each season!

A few critters and a nutcracker round out the decor.

We will be headed into the boys’ bedrooms next!  Stay tuned.

  1. Amanda, the bedroom looks so warm but I have to say I immediately zoomed in on the little artwork your mother made! I absolutely love it! Y’all sure are talented!! ~ Sherri

    1. Thank you!! She gave them to us last Christmas and I love it as well. She “helped” me make a big one for my den this weekend.

  2. Ditto on your mother’s art piece! It’s fabulous! I need one in gold!
Your new linens are gorgeous and you pulled it all together beautifully. Do you store your holiday decor room by room or in “categories”? Your home tour is always wonderful! Thànk you for sharing it.

  3. Your bedroom is fabulous! I’m continually amazed at how you celebrate each holiday so stylishly!! I just got an email today (Dec 11) that Pottery Barn is having a sale of 30% off ALL bedding for 2 days only in case you need any more of those pretty bed linens.

  4. Your home tour is so inspirational. I look forward every day to your posts. Do you remember where you purchased your bed cover? Our bed is very tall and nothing seems to be long enough.

    1. The linen coverlet is from Horchow! I don’t think they carry that exact one any more but do have some similar.

  5. Love your new linens! Totally just stole your idea and snatched up a couple of shams! You were smart…everything else is sold out! I am just going to find a deep red throw or a quilt for the bottom of the bed to pull it all together. My other linens are natural too! Thank you for the suggestion!

  6. I realize this is an old post but i love the bedroom decor. I wonder if you can tell me where the monogrammed pillow is from?
