A Savannah Christmas {Mother’s Mini Tour}

I know I always have the same excuse year after year… once again I don’t have a great, well prepared home tour of Mother’s Christmas decor.  It’s just that when eight additional people land at home there is stuff and people everywhere and it is not really internet photo worthy.  We usually arrive in a flurry of excitement, there is food to be eating, cocktails to be consumed and people to catch up with.  So, by the time I think to take some pictures the next day things are already crazy.

That being said, here is a little mini tour …

I shared their new front porch addition last week.  They pulled out a lot of the shrubs during the construction so the beds look a little bare here.

The foyer…

The living room…

The den…

The dining room…

The Christmas puzzle table…  (we finished just in the nick of time!)

The kitchen… (you can spy their newly adopted stray Watson here)

The brand new porch…

And the guest room…

I have already started taking things down at my home.  I put it up in early November so I’m always itching to have everything down, stored and fully cleaned to kick off the new year.

  1. Happy New Year, Daddy O and Mother! Your home looks extra dreamy this year. I am intrigued by the tiny figures on your den shelves and love the oysters handing in the kitchen above your gorgeous gingerbread house. What a lovely home and family. This always reminds me of my family’s trips to Boca to see our grandparents at Christmas time. :-)

    Thank you, Amanda for sharing this heartfelt tour. Here’s wishing all of you a blessed new year.

  2. Absolutely lovely, as always. I adore the new additions! Everything looks so welcoming. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love that you and your mother’s styles are so similar. I see lots of familiar themes and items. It must really make it feel like coming home! Thanks for sharing!
