Deck the Halls 2017 {Exterior + Entry}

I’m back from my sneak peek on 12 Days of Christmas tour kickoff to share all the details of every room of our holiday home over the next couple of weeks!!  Let’s start with the exterior and entry.  I had better shots than this one, but I couldn’t resist Elsa in action.

I love white lights, garlands and big red bows SO much at Christmas.  See my easy technique for bows in this video >>  How to Make Christmas Bows  and how to hang your wreaths in this post >> 2 Easy Ways to Hang Christmas Wreaths.

I assembled monogrammed wreaths for four of our exterior entry doors a few years ago and they are still going strong.  See how I made it and get links to the products used here >> Holiday Monogram Wreath

I am using pre-lit garlands from Costco outside.  I think we are on year three and they are all still working!  I tell you what, investing in the pre-lit variety is such a huge time saver in putting this up every year.

The friend’s entry has a wreath as well and I usually like to try and plant some rosemary in the pot that normally lives here but haven’t quite got to that yet.

Now, y’all come inside!

I carry the red ribbons from outside straight through to *almost* every room of the house!

I always swap out the picture on my entry table with the current Santa pic.  I think it is such a fun way to greet our visitors this time of the year.  This frame was my one purchase from the Magnolia line at Target.  I decided to leave the burlap table skirt out after Halloween because I think it goes better with my Christmas decor.   The new skirt is right under it!

I’ve had the Santa for years and love him arranged on stacks of old books and trees.

I filmed an entire video tutorial on how I do my staircase garland buttttt….. I haven’t even taken it off of my phone yet to share.  Hopefully by 2018 :-)

One of my favorite additions this year are my new painted lamp shades.  You can read all about them here >> Christmas Lamp Shades

Of course the baby girl had to get right in the thick of things.  Do y’all remember when I didn’t want a dog?  HAHAHAHA!

That pretty much covers every square inch of the little foyer!

I’ll be back as soon as I can with more rooms!!  I have a lot of work to catch up on from our Disney trip so it will probably be a couple of days :-)

  2. Lovely, as always! Your home tour is definitely my favorite every year. Thanks for sharing! xo
