With two boys, growing and maturing faster than I can almost even stand, dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table is not high on our overall bucket list when we visit Disney World. :-) So, I’m sure you can imagine how excited I was to be treated to this pinnacle of Disney princess dining by my sister! Her spring break coincided with a training trip for me last year. When her husband had to fly back to Atlanta for a business deal at the last minute, she invited little old me to take his place. And I gladly accepted!!! We had such a wonderful evening and I savored every minute getting to spend time with my niece and nephew.
The restaurant is located IN Cinderella Castle. I have vivid memories of staring up at the castle as a child imagining the princess living inside. Of course, back then there was no restaurant that you could visit! You can see here that the dining room is on the upper level of the back of the castle overlooking Fantasyland.
Cinderella makes your acquaintance in the majestic Grand Hall, before you ascend a spiral staircase to the banquet hall above. (A gilded elevator is also available to transport you to the festivities.) Then, dine in a storybook setting surrounded by soaring stone archways, majestic medieval flags and spectacular stained-glass windows overlooking Fantasyland. During your time inside the castle, visit with classic Disney Princesses. Tiaras and glittering gowns are optional, although young Guests are encouraged to dress up for the occasion.
I loved grabbing these images of Main Street and two little ones running in anticipation of what was to come.
When you first enter, you meet Cinderella for hugs, photos and an autograph. Then you are escorted up to the dining room.
The food is delightful, and when on the Disney Dining Plan, a cocktail is included!
Throughout your meal, princesses come right to the table to meet their guests! Girls get a wand, boys get a saber, and there is a cute wishing ceremony during the meal.
We dined during the Happily Ever After Fireworks and, I must say, it was magical.
If you go…
- Cinderella’s Royal Table is THE hardest reservation to secure at Disney World. Booking at least 6 months in advance is highly recommended.
- This restaurant does not accommodate large parties well. In my experience, groups of more than 6 will need multiple reservations and those are hard to secure at close to the same time.
- This location is considered signature dining and is two table serve credits on the Disney Dining Plan. It is a price fixe meal when paying out of pocket.
- This meal is not for everyone and I always council my clients on the best fit for their family. When I cannot secure the reservation due to availability, do not worry. I have other great alternatives!
