Shopping in Savannah

We are splitting our time for Spring Break this year, with Whit and I off together on the first half of the week to Savannah and then Disney and John and Honey joining us in Disney for the second half of the week. For now, Whit and I have been basking in the Savannah sun, shopping in town, eating all of our favorites at home, and being taking care of by Mother and Daddy-O.

Whit stayed home with Daddy-O today while Mother and I shopped downtown. The weather was glorious for walking through all of the Broughton Street shops, and the sidewalks were packed with tourists.

The Paris Market

The Paris Market has been a favorite to peruse since it opened years ago. The shop has an amazing look and feel, and there are always such unique curiosities and finds that you don’t see in other shops.

The Brocante is a favorite for an afternoon treat. I absolutely love the Two Smart Cookies iced cookies and the French Seltzer with raspberry.

Palm Avenue Savannah

No trip down Broughton Street is complete without a stop in Palm Avenue. The ladies in here are so friendly and helpful – literally pulling things off the racks that you might not have given a second look. I used my Christmas and birthday gift cards for a new dress and umbrella. :-)

There are tons of other great shops in this area – these are just the two I grabbed a picture in.

Seventh Heaven

Mother, Sister and I have loved scouring antique (and junk) stores for as long as I can remember. Seventh Heaven has been around also for as long as I can remember. (It is not in the area of the other stores, FYI.) I should have taken a picture of the silver and antiques but was completely distracted by this GIANT back room full of supplies to design your own lamps. It was amazing!

Current Kitchen

We enjoyed dinner at one of my family’s favorites – Current Kitchen. It is located on the cluster of barrier islands between Savannah and Tybee. The ambiance is wonderful, and the food is delicious and well priced. Our collective favorites are the shrimp risotto, snapper risotto, sushi and spicy salmon.

I treasure these days at home! <3
